My wife and I met a friend here for dinner and drinks. What a pleasant surprise from all of the overpriced tourist rip offs in the Rocks area. We walked by several times and had no idea it was any more than a pub!
Traditional pub when you walk in the bar, once through the bar into the terracred outside area it transforms into a DIY chooseyour own/cook yourself barbecue area.
This was a pleasant seating area.
Even though I say so myself, I cooked my steak to perfection,...More
A great find. Choose your meat, steak, ribs, burger, cook it to your taste, and help yourself to fresh salad, vegetables, potatoes and lovely bread. Reasonably priced wine at the bar, whats not to like?? (PS you don't have to do your own washing -up.)
If you didn’t know what this hidden gem had to offer you would just walk past what just looks like a small pub and probably go elsewhere if you wanted a meal but you would miss a treat.

The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The
weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
