We decided on a selection of starters as we weren't feeling that hungry but it turned out to be quite a lot of food that was very tasty. We ordered the half crayfish tail, scallops, garlic prawns, calamari, baby octopus and crab avocado salad. All dishes were great although the sauce on the scallops was a little sweet. Cocktails were... More

Following a Sunday visit to Barangaroo, decided lunch at Nicks is always an experience having visited on many occasions, but disappointment prevailed. We were fortunate to have a waterfront table on a glorious day, but unfortunately service suffered. While the staff were attentive, and the food was reasonable, the physical service was slow. The restaurant was reasonably full but we... More

Table at the edge of the restaurant overlooking the harbour, lovely view and a beautiful evening. Good service, helpful staff, (if a bit slow) nice cocktails to start, entres nice, 1 x Moreton Bay Bugs and 1 x Alaskan Crab Salad, though a bit on the small side. Neither of us felt like more seafood, so we had the rib... More

Very popular. Great location, with awesome views. We were lucky to get a table next to the Harbour, which helped make the afternoon. We shared Nicks seafood platter with a bottle of rose which was fantastic. Not cheap but this selection of seafood never is. Good service from the wait team

We enjoyed a hearty seafood dinner with moderate price at Nick's. Our entrees of oysters, mussels and scallops were so fresh and tasty. We ordered the signature Nick's seafood platter as the main course and pay an extra of AUD 10 for a large lobster baked in cheese. The seafood platter and the baked lobster were so nice and should... Dinner on a Monday night was enjoyable. The view is sensational and best enjoyed outdoors. However we had our order mixed up and made the dinner a bit out of sorts for us. They were quick to replace at no cost and took a bottle of wine off the bill which was commendable. Would I go back, if I had... More

My first time to Nick's Restaurant with sister-in-law celebrating her birthday. I might add she is a regular. Arrived dripping wet after being caught in a downpour. Staff very pleasant and helpful immediately turning on heaters to help us dry out. Florentine oysters = yes, Fishermans Basket = yum, Citrus Delight = to die for and superb presentation. Finished off... More

Went there last week, tried their signature platter. It looks good but taste disappointing, especially the lobster. The rest are quite average, not worth the praise at all.

Good place too eat! Great views of the harbour! Fresh seafood but could have a few more options than just chips or salad with the dishes, but the desert made up for that! The sticky date pudding was too die for!! The service was great too! Was a little cold where we were sitting but not the end of the... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
