As you enter Neptune you get an idea of what's in store. The paint's peeking, there's a few cracked tiles and all the awards are from 10 years ago. This is a decent place to eat whose luster has faded. We enjoyed our sambal shrimp, shrimp and tofu soup (the highlight) and curry. You will find banquet options too for... More

Serving probably the best laksa in Sydney this family friendly restaurant never disappoints. Recently renovated but the menu remains the same. Highly recommend the Chicken Kapitan and the Roti. The mini size laksa for entree are a perfect led into a meal. The duck pancakes were not the best. Only thing missing from this restaurant are the gorgeous views of... More

Centrally located, still calm & quiet inside, you feel really nice to sit and enjoy your food in this atmosphere. We liked the staff who were friendly and advised us on what we could mostly like. And we liked the food, really!!!

Initially I was quite reluctant to have dinner in a Chinese restaurant in Sydney as I prefer to eat the local food. But to my surprise the Chinese food at Neptune Palace restaurant really make me to think differently. The food was good and the waiter seems to know their stuffs and recommended what he thinks is good. We enjoyed... More

Very attentive wait staff who offer you drinks as soon as you are seated and clear your plates as soon as you finish the food. The food was mostly good, the lemon chicken sauce seemed a little bit watered down and not as enjoyable as it could have been but was mostly good.

What a great night. The food and service was sensational. The staff could not do enough for us , their recommendations were spot on. The Malaysian Duck Curry was perfect as was the Soft Shell Crab. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the foods. We're eating it malaysian-style, so we ordered 2 white rice, mongolian lamb and cashew chicken. It totals up to be around 75$. However, for that high price, we don't think we deserve the cold and unfriendly service from the waiter. The guy literally make roundings around us like an invigolator in an exam. It bothered us... We enjoyed dinner at the Neptune Palace. It is, as advertised, a mix of Chinese and Malay styles and favors. Having spent many years in SE Asia we appreciate and enjoy that taste. Americans looking for familiar "Chinese" or Hong Kong style may be surprised. Give it a try. Portions are generous, prices reasonable for the area, service attentive and... More

A lovely old building at the Quay with wonderful meals and service, We found the choice extensive and adventurous compared to the average Chinese restaurant because of the strong Malaysian food menu. My husband and I ate first time for dinner and recently for lunch. We will return again for special times. Sure it's more expensive than the average restaurant...but... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
