We were expecting an excellent dining experience and were so disappointed with this restaurant. Firstly, there was NOTHING special about the dishes presented. The food was bland and uninteresting. Then the service was non-existent. The cost was exorbitant. Not value for money. Don't bother going.

I came here with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Not sure what the hype is, we didn't really enjoy the food. It was possibly a little too fancy for us, and a little bizarre. It was degustation and although there were plenty of dishes, my husband didn't like any of them. it was very expensive too. Not what we... More

Marque used to be my favorite restaurant in Sydney. It doesn't offer spectacular views, but the food was innovative and original. The service was excellent. Compare to other restaurants of the same calibre, Marque is very well priced. But during the recent visits, I felt the food could have been better. Not the taste, but what you get. There used... We recently dined here as heard news of this restaurant's closure. We booked a table with friends expecting to have a great meal at one of Australia's most iconic restaurants. We were seated and given the wine list, which itself was quite bizarre and seemed to be missing a few pages, like they had got rid of most of it... More

An icon in Sydney and glad had the opportunity to experience before it closes. The 8 courses covered an amazing range of ingredients in each dish. Inspiring to see the such use across the menu. Wish the staff and Mark every success and thank them for their contribution to Sydney for so many years.

Went here for the degustation. Absolutely overrated, very disappointing. While the service was great, we waited forever between courses that were tiny and mostly comprised of different flavoured foams and purees. Needless to say we left starving, even though we tried to fill up on the bread rolls. The best course was the optional cheese course (goats cheese and pineapple... More

really groovy, dark space with interesting food. Personally it wasn't mind blowing (like the bill) but it was really, really good- some things were a little plain, i dont mean in flavour but just in delivery, HOWEVER, the service was comfortably the best i have ever experienced and the whole night just rolled through seamlessly and tastily... will i go... Paid for the 9 course menu - looked good on paper but the meal got progressively worse as the courses went on. There was only 5 people (including us 3) in the restaurant - not sure how they stay open. Music was weird for a 2 hatted restaurant. 3 of the courses were burnt and the duck course was very... More

I have waited a while to review Marque. It leaves quite a few questions for me. There is no doubt there is creativity and ingenuity in the menu. The level of detail as you would expect. It pains me to say though I wanted more. The current menu I call provocative. It pushes some ideas in an artful way. It started... More
