I was recommended to go here while in Sydney for the weekend. We made last minute reservations and the hostess was very accommodating. We sat at the bar but that didn't matter. The food was great. The cocktails also. The portions were very big and we definitely over ate. I highly recommend it

Definitely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! The food was amazing & the service was impeccable. Our waiter Bart was very attentive & had a great personality which made the whole experience second to none. The cocktails were also good & any bar that has Ciroc is always a winner in my eyes! Highly recommend this place!... More

Very nice place with a very warm atmosphere. Unfortunately without a great choice of dishes and, more important, not so Thai! Anyway, decent main dishes, terrible desserts! Quite good service.

We were treated to some really fabulous food here on a Sunday evening and the place has a great atmosphere. Service was wonderful, they couldn't do enough for us and we're helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The food as it arrived was beautifully presented and to die for flavors. Asian food does have good flavor but these... More

This is my first time to Longrain in Sydney, although I have also dined at their Melbourne location. Really great food with beautiful presentations. Not to be missed.

Given it's really hard to find much open for dinner on Sunday night, we were thrilled to find that Longrain was open (and buzzing!). My husband and I shared the beef cheeks, lamb massaman curry, papaya salad, rice and chicken wines with a couple of glasses of wine and it was a really fun delicious evening - exactly what we... Went there a couple of weeks ago, sat at the counter on somewhat wobbly chairs. Very cool ambiance, a very spacious place, with very high ceilings, and people sharing long tables. Food is excellent and so is the service. They are unfortunately not byo and their wine prices are pretty steep. So we walked out with a 150 dollar bill for... More

One of the many good Thai restaurants in Sydney. The location in trendy Surry Hills is not convenient and the ambience is created by the high ceilings. It does not open before 6:00 PM - and the Manager will send you away if you want a drink at 5:50 – no polite welcome and wait. The food is fine, but... More

Dinner with my partner & parents in law this Sunday was a dream. Food was great but the stand out was the service! Our waiter was named Bartholomew. He was friendly, engaging & personable. Thank you for making our dinner great. We will be back soon.

Description
Longrain Sydney is located at 85 Commonwealth St in Surry Hills.

Inspired by the communal eating philosophy of the Asian table, our menu is made up of dishes created for sharing. Longrain's menu has evolved from Martin Boetz's original Longrain vision, bringing South East Asian influences to carefully sourced ingredients with fresh, zingy flavours. His vibrant menu is carefully balanced with wines and cocktails chosen by restaurateur Sam Christie. Our long, shared tables encourage the spirit of eating together, so you can try each dish as part of a full tasting experience, just as it was intended (limited reservations available).

Book one of our individual tables for parties between 6 - 10 people; or Private Dining Room for 12-18 guests.
