Mud crab was delicious but quite expensive. Very popular. Service was pretty good too. Next time I would like to try their fish. Be careful not to over order.

OMG what a letdown the food wasnt very good. Th staff were so rude and miserable. Especially the short stocky cranky waiter. He never smiled once and kept leaving us while we tried to order. Never..ever again i dont care if thats where our top Chefs go they'd be treated better than us. Watching the staff they do not care... More

When visiting Sydney we always head the Golden Century for dinner and have done so for over 15 years usually twice a year. Over the last 2 - 3 years there has been a down hill slide in the service from waiters who seem indifferent to taking orders, extra wine etc. Having said that the food is always excellent. The... Let's face it, the golden century is the restaurant to go to in the middle of the night with your friends, half drunk or completely drunk, when you're hungry, but don't want crappy pizza or kebab! The ignorant, almost on existent service is perfect! You don't have to have weird small talk. The waiters are still always around to refill... More

Our taxi driver recommended this restaurant. It was a huge disappointment. The prices are very high, the decor is lack luster and the food is mediocre. need I say more?

DECOR- seriously? Old tired and almost dirty looking. Dim those lights...felt like I was eating a a cafeteria. FOOD- Bland soup apart from one that was average...rice- nothing special- MUD CRAB- pretty poorly presented and tiny bits of shell all through it. If paying this much - over $150 for 1 crab you expect them to pick out the shards... More

Table for 11 and the waiter kept trying to argue with us that we didn't need a main each as they were enough for three people. They weren't we ate all 11 mains and a big plate of rice and another of noodles. We also had a small entre and some deserts. He was wrong but we didn't mind because... More

Went there for dinner with friends on a Friday night. It's a great place to go for dinner after hanging out in Sydney's Chinatown. Food is excellent, great value, friendly and helpful staff.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
