Great food, friendly and helpful staff, big servings, good wine list. We had the set menu, much easier then choosing. The food tasted like home cooked, the lamb, calamari, taram all great. We also had a GF person and the restaurant knew exactly what to...More

Went for lunch. Attentive service as always. Had the lamb shoulder and the moussaka. Both amazing. This restaurant is a hidden gem which you will never know about unless someone tells you about it. At street level it’s just a doorway which leads downstairs to...More

Haven't visited this place for years - and it is still the same... The atmosphere is the same, friendly and relaxed service is the same, but most importantly the food is the same!great entrees and absolutely delicious mains, especially lamb casserole...

We were lucky enough to find Deithnes on our visit to Sydney and couldn't have been more pleased. The atmosphere was correct, the waiter was appropriately attentive and the food was superb. I had the moussaka and my wife had the roast lamb and vegetables....More

Haven’t been for a while but Diethnes never disappoints. We generally choose a lot of entrees to share and then never have room for the magnificent roast lamb! It’s a hard choice but sometimes you have to sacrifice one for the other. I’ve been going...More

We dined here as part of a large group, enjoying a conference in Sydney. We enjoyed drinks from the bar prior to embarking on a Greek banquet. The meal of 10 courses , was wonderfully authentic as well as tasty and generous. The Greek salad,...More

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Lovely décor, attentive service and the food was fantastic. Had the slow cooked lamb which was superb. Can't wait to return and try some of the other dishes. Highly recommended!

I am sorry to report that, over the years, Diethnes is now less than a stellar spot to dine Greek...the food was scant, not what I expected after coming here over the years...we hadn’t been for a few years , and so it was more...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
