Nothing spectacular

I was expecting so much from this cafe-bar because of the outlook straight over Darling Harbour, and i can't get a good view because of the railings, not happy at all. The tables are cramped up, uncomfortably small ,some diners are loud enough, screaming at the top of their voice, its very... read more

Comfortable location to meet and discuss business over a glass and tapas at the end of the day. Good outlook over the bay and plenty of parking and taxi options.

After traipsing around Darling Harbour to find the perfect place to have lunch, we were a little underwhelmed with our choice. The crocodile burger was very nice and the steak ok, however the chips promised on the menu were to be sprinkled with thyme salt, which we didn't taste or see. The 'salad' that came with the steak was a... More

The setting for this restaurant is very good with a nice view across Darling Harbour. If here for dinner the music can be quite loud but that is the type of place this is. The food is very good with a nice range on the menu. There are pizzas, burgers, salads, pastas and other meat dishes. Overall a nice place.

good location in a busy / nightlife neighborhood. Tried roo loin and croc burger... quite exotic food for me. They were simple but tasty. A bit overpriced rest. There a good varieties of dishes in the menu.

We are Melbournians visited Sydney with our friends from USA, and wanted to impress them. It worked! Blackbird restaurant was an accidental choice, but it was a good choice. Our table was in the cosy corner of the balcony where the restaurant is generously occupied. Fantastic view from the balcony to Darling Harbour. Young friendly staff from all over the... More

I came here for a friend's 21st birthday dinner. Whilst the food was nice (I ordered the chicken scnitzel burger, which came with a side of chips and sauce), it is quite pricey and we - a group of 20 people or so - waited 30-40 minutes for our food. It's nice, but the food isn't special enough for me... More

Had a meal here on a Sunday night with family. It seemed quite busy and seating was a little crowded, but we were able to get a table on the verandah - much quieter than inside! Meals were delicious and delivered quite quickly, considering how busy they were. The waiters were a little disorganised - we had to ask three... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
