Crocodile burger? Could have been. Hard to know when all I could taste was the zucchini and beetroot relish. Margarita pizza for a shared starter was nice. Service was sketchy, long wait to get order taken, a bit of attitude when called upon for something as simple as extra napkins, seemingly MIA when all we wanted to do was to... More

In an area with so much choice this offers good value for money. Kids meal were great at 15 dollars and my chicken Caesar salad was lovely at around 24dollars. Nice beers and cocktails with a good view over harbour. As it got later there was a DJ playing so a good vibe too. Family friendly early doors.

I came here on a Saturday night around 8:00 and it was very busy! If you are wanting to eat I would recommend booking in advance and get a seat on the balcony over looking the harbor! They have cocktails for $10. The one in my photo is the blue bird cocktail which was delicious ! I would 100% recommend... More

Visited here on a Friday night for an early dinner. The service was good and attentive. The food came out way too quick - how could a table of meals be prepared so quickly!! Food was average. Pizza looked like it was a frozen pizza. Chips were good. Way too cold to sit outside so request an inside table on... More

The attention from the staff was great, especially the manager or head waiter. Always checking that we were attended to and happy to be there! Impressive, since they were very busy. The food included perfect steaks, and great choices for everyone. My prawns were fantastic, as were the dips and bruschetta The atmosphere was great on the balcony, relaxed, fun... More

Came here for dinner over the weekend. Relatively early booking but still busy with large groups. Food came out very quickly. The bruschetta was very pricey for the size, $13ish for only two small pieces. Nothing special on it (mushroom, proscuitto etc) like other places who charge the same. The pasta was lovely and pizza quite good as well. We... More

I feel that we wasted an opportunity to enjoy our evening by choosing to dine at Blackbird. While the waitress were friendly, the food was just ok. Our pre dinner drinks arrived in a timely manner and our food order was taken and delivered in a reasonable time. But that was the end of our service apparently. My husband ordered... More

Quickly greeted by waiters, taken to an outside table at our request. Orders taken quickly and meals arrived soon after. Hot chocolate was slightly cold, but beer was good. Husband had.pork belly, which was ok. I had the chicken breast with mash and green beans and a garlic sauce, which was nice. If you're looking for romance, this isn't then... More

I've been to Blackbird at Cockle Bay Wharf various times over the years and it's consistently good- nice drinks and snacks, fair prices, great location. They have excellent happy hour prices (just $8 a cocktail) and there are menu items to suit everyone's tastes. Get there early to get a table outside.

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
