Such a great atmosphere. My friend and I came here to drown our sorrows after the Swans lost on Saturday and what a great find! The theme is pirate all the way down to the wooden floorboards and rum water bottles each table are given. I had the Killer Bee and Jamaican cocktails - both delicious. Both VERY alcoholic, so... Headed here at the request of our friend for her birthday. First problem for us that there wasn't any signage or indication on the street of where to enter, I don't think it was their fault since there was roadwork but we couldn't find. Once inside we weren't greeted by anyone and it took a while for staff to notice... More

We walked in to this bar and we were told to take a seat and wait for table service. We did this and 10 minutes later we were still sitting there waiting for service! We weren't even given a menu to choose from!

Stopped in for pre dinner drinks. Small, good atmosphere and mixed age groups. Liked it a lot. Also loved the 80's tunes and relaxed vibe. Cocktails seemed expensive but having stuck to beer and spirits we were happy when we settled up the tab. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited here for drinks after work recently. Pleasant atmosphere and great staff. Decent wine list and full range of bar drinks. Recommend a visit for something smaller and more intimate in that part of the city.

Ole Sea shanties and a feel for being aboard Captain Hook's style of ship immediately greets you walking in to this somewhat cloistered entry. Once inside, a friendly British chap will likely ensure you are seated with whatever your hearts desire - alcoholic gingerbeer ; cocktails, rose, whisky it's all here! Nice touch is the dry roasted peanuts for shelling... More

We were heading out to a function and wanted a quiet drink beforehand. Our hotel sent us a few doors up the street to Button Bar. Funky interior and your predictable young bar crew greeted us - clearly being in our 40's wasn't the clientele they preferred to interact with despite being the only clients there at 5pm on a... Twice now I have been here and each time it was a delight. The bar staff are all very lovely and if you visit on your own they provide enlightening conversation. The cocktails are intelligent as they are delicious. Nice cosy booths to sit in and music at just the right volume. I will definitely visit again when I'm back... More

We almost walked past this place in the night and barely found it. Inside it's a relaxed atmosphere which is great. Unfortunately choices of beer are limited and are expensive.

Subtle pirate theme'd, cocktail slinging, Rock n' Roll watering hole.We can be found at an unmarked wooden sliding door at the lower end of Foveaux Street in Surry Hills. No X marking the spot, so if you find it, half the battle has been won! Venture in you'll find the bartender's slinging cocktails behind a large wood panel fit out playing rock n' roll and blues. There's a large array of spirits including barrel's of home spiced rum, singapore sling's and sherry. And if you're just looking for a quick beer/cider, you'll find beers selected from our bartender's favourite local brewery's...
