Visited here for drinks after work recently. Pleasant atmosphere and great staff. Decent wine list and full range of bar drinks. Recommend a visit for something smaller and more intimate in that part of the city.

Ole Sea shanties and a feel for being aboard Captain Hook's style of ship immediately greets you walking in to this somewhat cloistered entry. Once inside, a friendly British chap will likely ensure you are seated with whatever your hearts desire - alcoholic gingerbeer ; cocktails, rose, whisky it's all here! Nice touch is the dry roasted peanuts for shelling... More

We were heading out to a function and wanted a quiet drink beforehand. Our hotel sent us a few doors up the street to Button Bar. Funky interior and your predictable young bar crew greeted us - clearly being in our 40's wasn't the clientele they preferred to interact with despite being the only clients there at 5pm on a... Twice now I have been here and each time it was a delight. The bar staff are all very lovely and if you visit on your own they provide enlightening conversation. The cocktails are intelligent as they are delicious. Nice cosy booths to sit in and music at just the right volume. I will definitely visit again when I'm back... More

We almost walked past this place in the night and barely found it. Inside it's a relaxed atmosphere which is great. Unfortunately choices of beer are limited and are expensive.

Saturday night cocktails with friends, really nice spot! Espresso martinis were delicious. Not cheap! One ridiculously rude table service person, but the rest of the staff were delightful. Bathrooms were very dark and unisex - which wasn't great.. Great music. No standing area, so make sure you get a booth.

Came here for drinks before dinner mid week recently. Bar staff were friendly and helpful. The place wasn't overly crowded and the prices were fair. Complimentary peanuts in their shell helped keep our glasses full.

Fun little bar with friendly staff and fun patrons .... Great cocktails and attentive service complete with a bowl of peanuts. The night we went there was 80s music playing and everyone was singing along - fantastic atmosphere - happy times

We have been here a few times and always well looked after! The bar staff and waiters are friendly and knowledgable! It has a great quirky nautical theme to the bar. It's small and intimate! You can sit in cosy booths or small tables. They have a great selection of spirits, wines and some fabulous cocktails!

Button Bar brings another piece of Melbourne to the Sydney bar scene with this small, but interesting spot. The decor is Tiki hipster, with lots of woodgrain, trinkets, beards and tattoos. The service is friendly, although a little slow and the cocktails list is small, but packs a punch. While probably not a place to spend the night, Button Bar... More
