Dining at est. is a finely-tuned dance. A balance between the drama of this timeless setting, within a heritage-listed building, and the contemporary Australian food, executed with precision. The seasonally-driven menu continually evolves and explores the interplay of classic flavours with local ingredients.

Slightly surprised when I walked and was greeted so warmly prior to the resultant open. Beautiful with a lovely lounge area, great window in the dining room overlooking George Street, and wonderful service and food. Décor is all white, and just so refreshing. Tables are...More

EST takes the cake for being the restaurant with amazing food AND amazing service! It started with a tailored wine pairing - my husband prefers red so that’s what he got. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and indulged our questions and provided great recommendations. The...More

I had quite high expectations for est. - that I have to say. Well, it did not live up to these. We had the tasting menu, which costs nearly 200 australian dollars. When the first dish came in, we thought it was only the "degustation,...More

I had high expectations for est. as potentially our best dining experience of a three week trip, and it fully lived up to those. The restaurant itself is elegant, spacious, and clean, with both a classy and welcome vibe due to the excellent service. All...More

We booked here well in advance as our signature dining event for our Sydney visit. Elegant space, exceptional service. The dinner courses were well conceived and executed but fell short of the next level unique and memorable experience expected at this price point. We opted...More

I went for a business dinner here and the food, the wine, the ambiance and the service were all excellent. I rarely say this but I have nothing to criticize.

We are infrequent visitors to Sydney but when we are we usually try to eat at this restaurant, which until our visit last night was one of our favourites. When we arrived there was a Copacabana Party on the ground floor which was extremely noisy,...More

Still excellent in both quality of food and the perfection of the service. The wine list is extensive although not on the cheap side. All in all still one of the best restaurants that Sydney has.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table in the fairly grand dining room which had a really good ambience. The champagne trolley arrived and two of our party chose this option. Pricey but special. We chose the 4 course option rather than the...More

We had a wonderful dinner at EST. The staff are uncompromisingly professional, whilst still able to laugh at your jokes...the food was spectacular. The wine list, unparalleled. We partook in the degustation selection and were thoroughly impressed. Cannot recommend highly enough. Will return in a...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Sorry for the delayed response but the regular reservation is fine. As Michael has said it takes a couple of hours but definitely worth it. Also try the oysters at the beginning with their special vinaigrette. Very delicious.
