I eaten here twice in the last 2 weeks after a long break & am loving the food! Everything we ate was so tasty. The chicken wings were fat & juicy (yep, fat). The bird nest Moreton bay bug dumplings with xo sauce was my fave, mahi mahi was beautiful....try it all. The wine was also excellent thanks for the... More

You just have to try this place. We shared 2 meals and one was the special, with bug tails done in pepper basil sauce and it was divine. I will be back next time we are in Sydney for sure.

In a very convenient location in Angel Place Sydney, China Lane truly is a lovely restaurant. Wonderful selection of food and wine and staff that really make the whole experience exceptional. Comfortable settings in a pleasing decor and not overly noisy, as so many popular restaurants are. Not cheap, but well worth the cost; there really is nothing not to... More

My wife and I went there for a celebration. Let me tell you. You'd better of try three 10 hour lamb shoulder. Mamamiaaaa!!! The food was just awesome and the service amazing thanks to Michael. He had a great sense of humour, a strong customer service and a good time management. He should be promoted. What do you think?

I was at China Lane for dinner with friends and the atmosphere was nice and look out for the bird cages. Very nice bird cages. The staff were rushed and abrupt in their service and China Lane lacked creative food dishes. The food menu had dishes that you could easily get at Chinatown for a cheaper price and better quality.... More

I had dinner with 5 girl friends to celebrate a birthday. We chose China Lane and loved it from the moment we walked in. The friendly staff showed us to our table and were attentive all night. The food was exceptional (peaking duck rolls, pulled pork buns, fish curry, beef curry ...yum yum, yum). A chorus of "Happy Birthday" accompanied... More

I dined at China Lane with some work colleagues to celebrate an anniversary lunch for myself! I have always wanted to dine at China Lane and what an amazing impression I received from this gorgeous restaurant! The service was lovely, the food was mouth watering and I can't wait to go back and try more. We started off with a... More

We booked here on the recommendation of the hotel concierge for 6.30 being told that we had to be out by 8.15. We arrived at about 6.15 but were surprised that we hadn't been told that we would be seated outside given that it was a particularly windy cold evening. There were blankets provided and out door heaters but it... More

Dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday. Wait staff were very attentive and knowledgable and recommended courses that fused together beautifully. The duck pancake was perfect and the pork belly with caramel chilli was a sensation. The crispy chicken needed a little more cooking as some pieces were raw close to the bone. Great wine list and a great night... More

Had an absolutely brilliant night. Pork belly best I've ever had and as we ate just about everything on the menu I really can't complain about anything. The service was exceptional but my suggestion is to sit outside. They do supply blankets and there is heaters. Close to circular quay and highly recommended xxxxxx

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
