Bit of a quiet staple for those in the city area and rightly so. Fantastic beer cafe with both indoor or outside beer garden at the rear perfect for all types. Beer is superb with cracking selection of beer and spirits. The food ain’t bad...either. Great spot for a boys lunch or a starting point prior to a night out. Tommy rocksMore

I had been here once before years ago but completely forgot about it until recently. This time we sat out in the back court yard which was lovely - they had the fire going which was perfect for the cool winter day that it was....The staff were all lovely. We were there with my 90+ year old grandmother and the staff were so kind and made sure that she was comfortable and warm enough. All the food was yummy and very decent portions. Highly recommend the warm pretzels as a starter. We will definitely return soon.More

My friend and I were looking for a place to wet the whistle and stumbled across Tommy’s Beer Cafe, I’ve always walked past thinking that it must be dining and then drinks situation. But behold! You can just have their amazing selection of beers and...then get a light nibble along the way if you need. Victor was a true front line warrior of true hospitality! Couldn’t praise his attention enough with great recommendations for beers and attentive service for a moment before he introduced himself we thought he was Tommy as he had so much passion for his venue. We will be back as this place ticks all the boxes and we will be back many times after that.More

we booked a table for 8 people and came early for the happy hour which is advertised on their website! Only to get told that they don't do a happy hour at the moment. also, the daily specials - which are advertised in the menu...- are not longer valid!!!! We had to pay the full / normal price for it. Nothing was said to us beforehand... bad customer and table service did the rest to round it all up. At least the food was without any complain and got delivered fast with no further surprises.More

The beers and the food are great. The 2 ladies working there on Monday night. Terrible. omg. No smile at all. You are almost afraid to ask them something. You clearly see they dont like their work. It's a pity because the garden is great...to have a beer with friends.More

Excellent service with authentic Czech meals just like my Czech mother used to make. I had the smoked grilled pork with dumplings and white sauerkraut while my husband had chicken schnitzel with sides - both meals were very delicious with generous portions. We had the...Czech strudel with ice cream for dessert which was really lovely. Will definitely return with family members. Great bustling atmosphere in a casual, relaxed environment with wooden benches, chairs and tables. Highly recommended for a meal outing with families or friends.More

Best pork knuckles I ever have so far. A big serve of pork nuckle. Had to share it with my wife. The skins was super crispy and crunchy and lots of meat. The sausages were just as good with creamy mashed potatoes. The pretzel was...nice and fresh and I enjoyed the dark lager beer. Lunch service was satisfactory as we didn't have to wait long for our food. Didn't try the snitchzel this time round as my belly was rather full.More

I was here as part of a "craft beer crawl" through Glebe with my brothers-in-law. I wanted to try some beers from Eastern Europe, and have a hearty lunch to soak up the beer. The range of beers was very interesting, more the traditional styles...than the extreme sours and fruit beers some craft beer bars offer, which suited me fine. I had "straspacy" for lunch, a Slovakian dish based on potato dumplings, onion, sauerkraut and little pieces of crispy bacon. I loved it, especially the bacon! The staff (who I think were from Slovakia) were friendly. If you want to explore authentic beers and food from Central Europe, this is the place to visit!More
