I was really excited to hear that a place in Sydney was doing choushoku. We got up early and arrived around 8am. The curt waitress told us we could only sit there for one hour since we were not guests of the hotel... not a great start. The atmosphere was pretty lacking, and the tables were very close together. I... More

Every time we visit Sokyo we always have an excellent meal. This time was no exception, the only small flaw was the length of time it took to get a drink. It was obviously busy but drink service needs to be prompt. Our food waiter was very attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.

Have been to Sokyo 3 times now and will return again. Went there for our wedding anniversary and loved it so much. Started with the King fish which was my favourite dish. So fresh and full of flavour. I could write about every dish but all I need is to say it is a must to go there.

Went here for brunch with my Japanese girlfriend and she said it was legit. Brunch has a bunch of exotic options as well as a couple western options for the less adventurous as me. Orange juice is served in sake jugs for a lovely touch. We had a bowl of seafood and a more western dish with eggs, hash brown... More

Last night we dined at Sokyo, what an incredible experience. We started with the King fish ceviche ( in a word Devine ) followed by baby capsicum poppers ( the explosion of flavour , just incredible ) then the Robata pork on skewers and the King brown ( both delectable )finishing with the sea scallop and prawn . This is... More

The great news is that the food was exceptional, and our waiter helped us chose some wonderful dishes. The service was also impeccable. The downside was that it was noisy and did not have the quiet atmosphere that you might expect from a fine dining restaurant.

My daughter who lives in Sydney took my husband and I to this restaurant because we love japanese food. The food is good and the presentation is nice. But the service and the prices are not that good. I don't think I will go back considering the enormous range of restaurants is Sydney.

We went there for few drinks before dinner. I ordered sour apple martini, a great cocktail that few bartender in Sydney do well. Needless to say I had 4 and left the car here and got a taxi. For a Tuesday the bar was reasonably busy
