The texture of the lamb was my favourite thing. The second favourite was the starter dips and bread. Friendly and fun atmosphere. I love the open kitchen.

As expected from a one-hat restaurant, Xanthi Bar and Restaurant delivered us quality meal in their dishes. The standout of the night was 250gms Lamb ‘Horiatiko Souvla’ (from the spit) ($38) – Served with toursi (greek pickles), tzatziki, Greek salad and chips. I am a big fan of its crispy lamb skin! It was seriously crunchy like pork crackling and... More

I love this restaurant, the food is amazing! The entrees were delicious, especially the pita bread and dips and the mushrooms. I had the lamb for main which was very tasty and filling! I couldn't even finish it all so was able to take some home with me. Dessert was also very delicious. The restaurant was quite full for a... More

We have eaten here many times and really like the food and service. The olive oil is in our opinion to die for. We enjoy their take on Greek food and although the menu has changed since the restaurant first opened we always have plenty of choices whatever our time frame.

Dined here recently with 5 in our group - the food was excellent!! The lighting was a little dim. It was a very busy night the restaurant was full all night - our meals came out relatively quickly and were very tasty!! The drinks service was a little slow. Worked out to be $50 pp for entrée and main and... More

The food was ok but overpriced. The set up was uncomfortable (as the chairs and tables were what you might find at neighbourhood casual eateries).

We had the banquet which was great value for money. The food was great and the servings was more than enough, we were so full! Wine selection was also a great mix of Greek and Australian.

No atmosphere, no music and salty goat was the summary of my recent foray into Xanthi. I admit we had high expectations but it just didn't offer enough for us to return. Some of the food was done very well, the mushrooms and feta and BBQ octopus come to mind. My husbands lamb main was very tasty, but I had... More

A very different Greek restaurant. Worth a try. We tried a variety of lamb and seafood and found all food was of a high standard. The kitchen was slow with the first dish however I always believe a wait is better than bad food. I enjoyed the modern twist the chef clearly has and will return. Would love to see... More

How easy is it to get a chefs hat? The sommelier was great. Knowledgable and friendly. That was it. The 4 of us had the banquet meal and we're not that impressed. The setting is average. I expect a log more from a restaurant of this calibre.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
