The nachos are really good here and the views are really cool! All the bands that you know are all over the wall. Great place for quick bite

Despite the bad reviews my daughters really wanted to visit the Hard Rock Cafe while we were in sydeny - arrived on a Tuesday evening to people hanging around and no greeter - rather confusing - the lady at the front desk appeared and there was no smile hello or anything - our server was pleasant and drinks served quickly... Atmosphere was vibrant with quirky decor. The menu was substantial - on a friend's recommendation I had ribs (excellent) and stuffed potato skins (also excellent). Kids are welcome and well catered for.

Had dinner here with my wife on a couple of occasions last week. The food, especially the Wagu steak was to die for. The beer and Purple Haze cocktails went down a treat. The service and attention was also excellent the only slightly negative point was the price which was slightly expensive for the type of food and restaurant it... More

Whilst the signboard is conspicuous, HRC entrance is at the left of Harbourside Darling Harbour, which can be mixed up with the shopping mall entrance. Collected another shot glass, adding to my collection of over 50. The place is your typical HRC size and decor/ambience. There's insufficient service staff during weekdays; many are part-timers and international students. Ordered a vanilla... More

Family meal. It was good but expensive for what it was. Burgers were good and it was all you can eat ribs for me but you definitely pay for it.

We went to hard rock for a Saturday night date night while we were in Sydney. It's become a bit of a tradition to go to a hard rock in each city we stay in. The food, service and drinks have always been really good! Not here! We booked a table for 9:30pm, the restaurant was dead with music on... More

Really good place to visit for a meal or drinks with friends and family. Very friendly staff with good facilities and good music make for a very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. Very centrally located in Darling Harbour and you can choose to sit inside or out with harbour views. Great place for photos with the surrounding music memorabilia. Really fun... More

In a city where everything is so expensive and you don't know the quality of food to expect, the Hard Rock Cafe always has a consistent quality standard you can trust globally. Great music, wait staff and food. We are at the HRC that was connected to the Harborside mall. We ordered the twisted Mac and cheese and the Tupelo... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
