The breakfast was so good that we had to come back two days in a row from the central CBD. Googled "Best Breakfast in Sydney" and this come up - for good reason. Tucked away in a little lane off some of the busier areas in the Rocks was this restaurant. Very busy place but can understand why. Some different... More

Good breakfast and coffee in a cosy atmosphere. We went twice and it was well on its way for 5 points, but I was very disappointed with the waffles (seemed store-bought and very dense; also cold, i.e. not freshly prepared). However, the bread, baked beans, scones, poached eggs, and sandwiches were all spot on.

Firstly, they have great food, sourced from all over. Second they have great coffee, again sourced from all over, and thirdly they have great staff. Now add, good service and a comfy fit out, you would have to work hard to find a better place, specially in the morning, so good we went back the next day

I visited yesterday to satiate my muesli craving after researching that this place is one of the best in Sydney for a healthy breakfast. My blueberry bircher muesli and flat white was delivered quickly but I stared in disbelief at how tiny it was! $20 for 5 blueberrys, skinny slivers of apple on soggy oats and a bordering-on-cold flat white..... Check the menu before you commit. I, personally, wasn't moved by many of the breakfast options (lots of veggies) but I found something to suit my taste (croque sir grill) & I enjoyed it. Cappuccino was also well prepared and tasty. Order at the counter and food is delivered to the table. Food delivery was a bit slow but good... More

We came in for a family breakfast while in Sydney for a weekend away. The wait for our breakfast was 45 mins then only 3 out of 4 meals arrived. My husband ended up having to eat after we had all finished. The wait staff didn't seem to care at all. We found the meals to be very average and... More

Very friendly service. Order at the counter and be given a number. Lots of tasty snacks 2 choose from. Its a popular place for lunch. Nice atmosphere. Places to sit at the window overlooking the street.

Had breakfast meeting before a workshop in Sydney CBD. Just had coffee but it was excellent. My colleague had the fruit salad that looked amazing. It is a good spot for a morning breakfast meeting if you are in the city.

I grabbed a kofta wrap from their food stall one morning as a quick and hopefully tasty brunch. I was very pleased. There was plenty of meat, and the wrap was very large with plenty of well matched flavours. When I'm next in town I'm definitely going to dine in.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
