This place really did surpass our expectations even after reading all the rave reviews on TA. The coffees were by far the best we'd had in the whole of Sydney and served up by a crew of staff that really seemed to be enjoying themselves despite it being busy. They all went about their business with a sense of purpose... More

The food, staff and decor at this cafe are all very good. We were here for breakfast and both dishes we ordered were good although I think the avo was the best. The panini was tricky to eat and had a tad too much bacon for my liking. Good place to visit.

We came here for brekkie this as it is very highly rated on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed, the reputation is well deserved!! I had the croque grill, it was extremely tasty, i loved the bread. My partner had the avocado and ricotta with poached eggs on sourdough and he said it was amazing. The coffee was also great, and... More

Lovely spot for lunch in a great location. The food is very good. Light and healthy options are available. The atmosphere is cool and the service fast. In a land of tourist traps, this is a great spot.

We came from the UK to visit friends in Melbourne and travelled to Sydney. This was our first food stop An absolute great find. We had the Reuben sandwich and a pale ale, there was 11 of us and we were well looked after. Sat on the little patio bit over looking a quaint little alleyway opposite a museum for... More

Just a "queenie" chicken wrap and a pre-packaged carrot juice but was tasty and didn't seem too expensive ($15). Bit surprised they didn't do fresh smoothies but hey! Nice feel to the place and pleasant staff.

A trifle expensive but we needed a decent breakfast on a public holiday and the poached eggs (extras on the side) were pretty good. The place takes its coffee seriously. Gets busy but it is fast and convenient.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
