On a beautiful Sydney night we decided to grab a few drinks here at the loft, and I have to say it was so very enjoyable! We ordered one cocktail, some nibbles, and a white wine for our week catchup. The first thing you notice here is the warm and cozy decor and colors. Thankfully the place isn't too dim!... More

I just had the worst high tea ever. It cost me $81. Our hens party were given tables outside & the temperature was 39 degrees. We were told they would not be serving tea as it was too hot. They should have given us tables inside even if it would have been very crowded.

On Saturday the 7th January myself and 7 girlfriends went to The Loft for High Tea, to our disappointment our booking was misplaced and instead we were allocated a space only. What happened next shocked me!, I have never been treated with such respect at any restaurant or venue in my life. Not only did The Loft refund us our... More

We were staying in darling Harbour so decided to try the loft for a few evening cocktails. There was 49%! Off a number of cocktails as it was Sunday making them very reasonably priced. The bar man was helpful in recommending things we would like. Being a Sunday there were only about 10 people in total in the bar, but... More

The loft on King street wharf, on the waterfront of Darling Harbour is above bungalow 8 and has beautiful water views. It was the perfect day to be sitting on the balcony taking it all in. It is a huge venue with bar space, lounge sitting indoor and outdoor. Would be great for an afternoon or night out. It would... More

Went there for a company launch party on a Sunday and it was perfect. Nice food nice drinks. Great view and great service. I want to go back there for many Sunday sessions to come. A total secret on a weekend or if you need a venue for birthday or any other occasion.

Called in late on Saturday night for a drink but couldn't hear what anyone was saying and couldn't find anywhere in the club that we could talk. Not enough bar staff on duty so there was a long wait for drinks. Pretty average experience.

Time of day visited - after work on a Friday with a group of colleagues. It was pretty relaxed outside, with a great balcony area with comfortable sofas, low-nought music to talk, and some fantastic views across Darling Harbour. Once inside, the music notched up a couple, and it was pretty difficult to hear yourself think - it pretty much... More

We came for a pre dinner drink and were really glad we did! The atmosphere is great, funky, warm and comfortable but the caprioskas we had were amazing!! The best ever! Made by Viktor, the tall, blond, Russian barman...he really knows his stuff! We will definitely be back for those!!

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
