The first thing that strikes you about this place is the ambiance of it. The dim lights and background music all make this restaurant a great place for the night. But it doesn't stop there.. The service is amazing, and the good is quite tasty and generous. If I want to be picky, I would say it's a little noisy... More

We ate here for a work function. The restaurant can be accessed down stairs off the main street, the decor and atmosphere is really nice as you walk into the main restaurant area. There is an extensive wine menu with cheapest wines at around $39, wines are Spanish, I had a Spanish cider at $20 for a 750ml bottle, it... More

Great atmosphere in this place, menu was awesome. Share plates are great as they are not too big. Would recommend this place for all occasions.

The restaurant is lovely, with a dark moody interior. We were a table of 10 and we were seated at a great table. We decided on the $72 per head banquet (with 3 matching wines). The wine was fantastic, and the food was lovely, there just wasn't enough of it. Small portion sizes for potato chips and salad was miserly.... More

It was an evening of hits and misses. We were a group of 7 and had a prior reservation and they tried to seat us at a bar table with stools (this was not conveyed at time of reservation). As one of our party had an injury they accommodated us quickly at a table despite being quite busy. Our waiter... More

We went for a special occasion dinner....all very excited. The tapas was great, very tasty and good sized portions. The service, however, was a real let down. Not that the staff were rude.....they were actually quite pleasant if you could manage to attract their attention, but they all running around like headless chooks looking very busy, and that meant they... For a long time I have lamented the lack of quality Spanish tapas restaurants in Sydney. Then I tried Subsolo. Descending to the basement, off the King St entrance, the subdued lighting and exposed brickwork created just the right ambiance. The Spanish wait staff added to the experience, and I got to practice a little of my rudimentary speaking skills.... More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
