This quiet restaurant is in a small area hidden between Wynyard, George St and the Rocks. It has a lovely open air terrace facing a small park and is great for lunch al fresco.

Disappointing meal with two of my customers . I ordered grilled salmon on a pea purée with feta and beetroot - the salmon was a strange colour almost grey but tasted ok . That was the problem there was no taste at all in any of it. The pea purée lacked any flavor and the feta crumbles were no bigger... More

We've had breakfast several times at this centrally-located restaurant/cafe. The food is well-prepared and well-priced, with a reasonable choice in the menu. We have always experienced good service from the staff. It was a bit cool on a winter's morning and some extra indoor heating would be a great improvement.

The server was friendly enough; and took our order promptly (we went late and the place was pretty much empty). The starter was forgotten and offered to be cooked when the entrees were delivered. Getting some salt required a trip to the counter. The check, similar. In other words the service was rather inattentive. The food was quite good and... More

We waited for 45 minutes for our meal (without any acknowledgement from passing staff), and unfortunately it really wasn't worth the wait. We had the mix of fish platter with soft-shell crab, squid and barramundi. The seasoning flavour of the crab (?) was quite weird, and it permeated through all the other items. Half of the plate consisted of fries.... More

I use Barramundi regularly for Business and friendly "catch up" lunches. The food is very good, especially the grilled fish. Desserts are very yummy, but rich. Staff are friendly and averagely efficient. The terrace is very pleasant in summer, overlooking the park - gives the impression of being on vacation in the centre of town. The restaurant does tend to... More

We regularly have lunch here with work colleagues. Never had a bad meal and really enjoy the Barramundi with capers, olives, tomatoes and anchovies. Good wine selection to complement meals.

Managed to get a table outside overlooking the small park , was around dusk and we could sit and watch the huge fruit bats up in the trees . Water and drinks came nice and quickly . We both ordered the special of John Dory fillets served with mash potato . Had to wait a long time for service as... More

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
