This restaurant was a strange mixture of fine dining (white tablecloths) and casual (plastic chairs). It adds to the evening that the chef greets everyone and asks how things are going during the meal. The servings are very generous, both for entrees and mains. In fact, we had no room for dessert. Nice that you can take a bottle from... More

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years, often for special occasions. It is BYO and the owner/chef Damian is wonderful. He is so welcoming and helpful, especially when you are arranging a special function. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always helpful and friendly and the servings are very generous and well presented. We once... More

Damian, the host & chef invites you to enjoy his delicious French-accented fare. BYO (wine shop a few doors away) plus a good standard menu. Tempting specials. We had white-bait fritters to share, savoury crepes, shell fish pie. On our return visit we had Atlantic salmon, spatchcock and great profiteroles and a delicious authentic cremè caramel for afters. This gem... More

All four of us were delighted with our choices including a good range of vegetarian dishes. My brother loved his tripe soup & cotechino, the spiced chickpea soup was also great. Two had "dead fresh" seafood pies that were extremely generous in size & flavour. I loved the 9 flavours of mushrooms in my dish. The chef was welcoming and... More

Welcomed at the door by a lovely waitress who seated us by the window with a view to the street, we were offered a nice glass of chilled water, which was just what we needed on such a hot evening. Nestling our byo wine into an ice bucket, we were offered a menu but before we could even open them,... More

D'Browes' menu is unashamedly aimed at a male dominated clientele. Although there are often many women and families enjoying the resteraunt, the meals are generous and French/Italian/European country styled with a heavy focus on meats. I love this resteraunt. It is the perfect destination for a boys lunch or dinner, with the Chef Damien treating all his guests in a... More

It is the Chef himself who comes to tell you what the specials are of the day. We had the oysters, scallops in very tasty garlic sauce and the ministrone soup as starters. All excellent but too much for starters. As maincourse we went for the gulash (spicy) with sauerkraut and the salmon. Delicious again but too much. Also the... More

Today was my first visit to this restaurant as the Narrabundah shops. The food was hearty and generous portions, well cooked and presented as well as a tasty treat. I enjoyed my smoked salmon. Others of our group enjoyed the lamb shanks. My neighbouring diner raved about the seafood pie, apparently one of the house specialties. Entrees were tasty too... More

Hearty food with a french flair. I have been a number of times to D'Browes and have never been disappointed. Their lamb shanks are delicious but be warned they are not skimpy meals so bring your appetite. I will be going back.
