Madam woo has without a doubt the best laksa I've ever had! King laksa is the best dish on the menu. Coconut and lime chicken also very good and the duck spring rolls are a must. One of my favourite restaurants in Canberra. 10/10

New tables and chairs. New rice buckets. New wall decorations. Still the same delicious meals. Had d Chicken dumplings as starters. Plump and tasty. Prawn with coconut and we asked for chilli. 10 chunky prawns. Wow powwow great value for the price. Service always polite. House Shiraz at 5.50 a glass good value. Just the place for warming food and... More

Went for lunch and it was very good. Service was great. Nothing was a problem even changing the type of chicken curry I wanted on the lunch special menu. Go for the chicken with coconut and lime just beautiful. Restaurant is clean and looks new. Well worth a visit.

This restaurant has just reopened after a facelift and decor revamp. It looks pretty trendy now. The menu is new also with many dishes to choose from. The staff are on the ball and very attentive. I had the Kungpo prawns and mixed vegetables in garlic sauce. The food was excellent. Malaysian Chinese with modern influences. The have one of... More

I promised a second review following my initial quick drop in for lunch. My wife and I had dinner at Madam Woo's a couple of time since then, and we have been impressed by the friendly (if sometime slightly haphazard) service, the quality of the food on offer, and the genuine value for money. If you go, the lime abc... More

Kingston is one of main foodie destinations in Canberra, and for good reason. That also usually means a meal here will set you back quite a bit more than one in the less fashionable parts of Canberra. So it is handy that Madam Woo's adds a touch of the real world to this high-priced environment. It is a bit of... More

Loved the satay and noodle dishes at this small but great eatery. Easy to park nearby and no problems with booking.

I have walked past this restaurant many times, but today I decided to dive in for lunch. I am glad I did. The decor is very basic, but the staff friendly and helpful, and the won ton Laksa ($12.90 at lunchtime) really excellent. A quick perusal of the menu showed some imagination in the dishes offered, and a dinner will... More

Dropped in for some takeaway one lunch time and was offered lunch specials that I was told were the same as the nighttime meals. The meal was excellent and filling and at a good special lunch price. The chicken won tons in the laksa noodle soup were home made and delicious as was the actual laksa soup. The service was... More

On short notice, I organized a meal for four friends after work. My friend - a local - recommended Madam Woo from her previous visit. I ordered the most economical banquet for four. It was excellent with pleasant service. We took home four additional serves from the 'planned-overs'. My student daughter enjoyed them!
