Haven't been to this take away for a couple of years. It was owned by some nice Polish people who have since moved on. It has fish on display but there was no ice to preserve them and they were yellowing. Ordered a hamburger with pineapple and chips. Got home and the chips were ok but the hamburger wasn't cooked... We just moved to the area so it was rude to not try out the local chippy. Despite some of the previous reviews our experience has been good. The chap serving was polite and friendly, he discussed the fresh fish options and then prepared fresh barramundi and basa with chips for take away. It all tasted pretty good without being... More

The local fish and chip shop - nothing fancy, but nice choices of fish and freshly battered or crumbed after you order. Not greasy at all. The fish was fresh and lovely

Greasy and one batch of chips was totally cold. They'd obviously been sitting around for quite a while. I hate giving bad reviews but my advice is to give this one a miss.

I ate here back in mid 2014. We both felt like some fish and chips, so considering of heading there tonight for another chance at it. But... my experience was really that bad a year ago that I couldn't face it. How can a fish and chip shop stuff up, well, fish and chips? All I remember was that it... More

Really greasy and no flavour. Not exactly cheap either. It's a shame a really good fish shop would do an excellent trade in Curtin.

'Tis tennis time and we have some Aussies doing well so the Gumbys decided to have a night of no cooking sitting watching the games at Melbourne Park on the telly. Fish and chips three of us decided, with Gumby junior (2) opting for a steak sandwich. Mr Google helpfully told us that Curtin Seafoods could supply our culinary requirements,... More

Grubby little grease trap with decor food and service from the 1950s. Cover picture is not accurate. Bizarre that places like this still exist in 2015.

Trust me, Curtin Seafood looks nothing like the picture here. It's a tired old fish & chip shop that only lives up to the poorest of reviews. The food is not good nor is the service. Such a shame, Curtin Shops is a beautiful, friendly, community based shopping area with a great range of other fantastic businesses that deserve your... More
