Location and contact

Slaley Rose and Crown is a grade 2 listed building and is owned and operated by the community which it serves. It is currently the only community owned pub/restaurant in the North East. We guarantee you a warm welcome and will serve you with freshly cooked, locally sourced food prepared in house by our expert Head Chef. We are a Freehouse and stock a good range of beers, real ales, wines, spirits, soft drinks etc. We have comfortable recently refurbished B&B letting rooms and are currently working on a flat which we propose to rent as holiday accommodation. Please phone for details. We are situated in the heart of the Northumberland countryside and enjoy spectacular views to the rear.

Lovely staff, friendly and approachable. Excellent service, very good menu and well cooked food. Prices reasonable. A nice little village pub with good food. I couldn’t have the minted lamb though after watching them frolic around in the field just beyond the garden!

Lovely local pub and very good staff in the restaurant. The meal was very nice but the vegetables were very undercooked. I find lots of chefs undercook vegetables and there is a fine balance between raw and mushy.

Stopped off here for an evening meal whilst staying up the road. We were made very welcome. Good wholesome food at very reasonable price. Couldn’t fault it.
