We stayed for the third time at this guesthouse. As always, I opted for booking for a short period of 4 days and I paid with holiday vouchers / tickets through travelminit. On the first day ( Thursday evening) everything was perfect- service and food. We should have let it at it. We were so happy and we made the biggest mistake and came on Friday evening too. On arriving we were announced that it will take...15 minutes to write down the order, but they were so slow in writing that it took 30 minutes. After it, we waited for 50 minutes for a soup. Gulas was good but definitely too cold for 16 degrees temperature outside. Fasole soup was mediocre. And now the fun begins- in the understanding of the cooker of Rara, bulz is extremely hot mamaliga, just spread across the pot and one spoon of smantana in it. Tochitura ardeleneasca, I could never imagine that you can fry pork and then you can put it in a source made out of tomato paste... After this, will you go to this Rara again?More

A little bit on the expensive side, but normal for the area. We were 10 people and we ordered burgers and traditional food. The food was excellent, the service fast and the waiter was relaxed and always smilling. A really good experience. Will come back.

First,I would like to tell you what I m working in hotel and I saw in last 20 professional years many locations.This is the best pension in Romania.First the administrator it is implicated and you can see this in every detail.The room is spacious very...clean ,the bed is very comfortable and the linen is similar to Hilton.The bathroom is new ,renovated.The restaurant is good with tasty food.And .finally very important the staff is very implicated and the location in near the slope!Sincerlly 10 plus!Congratulations!More

A modest restaurant with really good food, would definitely recommend the trout with polenta and chocolate pancakes.

Coaste de porc, ciorba de pui a la grec, tigaie picantă pulpa de rata, aripi de pui cu cartofi crispy si sos de mujdei, toate foarte gustoase pebtru copii si adulti!

Starting with the breakfast and finishing with the dinner the food was great. The menu is various, from soups to burger, pasta, traditional food and sweets. The food is very nice presented, even for the simpliest dishes.

I went there with family and kids and friends to have dinner. We were very dissapointed. We asked to put some tables together and they refused. We were supposed to eat with the children in our lap. The waiter was very rude and didn't want...to call for the manager. Very poor service! Some food was very late and some other did not arrive at all! Don't go there!More

Review for restaurant staff Do not try to have lunch or dinner unless you are guests of the house. They do not serve you because you are not hosted in the hotel even that are free tables. You cannot make a reservation. They do not...inform about their rule only when you enter the restaurant. And they does it in a very rude manner. We tried two times to have dinner but they barely said 4 words: : we cannot serve you. Maybe the food is good and the hotel is nice but not for every customer that enters their door. Good luckMore

Very basic menu, the food is not more than ok. Not friendly to vegetarians. The stuff is nice and the service is ok.

Food is good and prices are fair. The staff is friendly, nut either not trained enough or not willing to do their job properly. Long delays in bringing the orders, some orders mixed up or forgotten. All in all, a good experience.
