I spent 2 weeks in Greater Manchester, and I came across Luciano's on my second day there.
Every aspect of this beautiful restaurant/cafe was a delightful experience. From the coffee to the meals, atmosphere and the incredible service was amazing. I was fortunate enough to get to know some of the staff on a personal note because of my Italian heritage and it was like having my own family around me.
When it comes to coffee, I need it to be of the best quality and taste and Luciano's delivered every time without fail. When it came to the food, well, all I can say is that the flavors and the aromas took me back in time reminiscent of my mother's home cooking and that says everything for me.
My only disappointment is that I didn't get to try everything on the menu from the variety of breakfasts through to lunches and dinner. If I was staying longer, I would have definitely worked my way through the menu. (For now, the gnocchi and the lobster filled ravioli is a must try.)
There is no denying the quality of the food, as for the staff they were always welcoming with a warm greeting and smile on their face, and nothing was a problem.
For some I guess that price is a factor in food selection. As far as I and my Family and friends were concerned, the price of all meals, drinks hot and cold was extremely reasonable. We had no complaints at all about the price.
We hope to get back to the UK one day and I will definitely have Luciano's on my list to return to for a coffee and meals. Looking forward to seeing all the staff at Luciano's again.
Wishing Luciano's every success and hope to be back soon. Grazie Iolanda and the staff. 10 out 10

After a shopping trip around the retail park, we decided to go to Luciano’s for lunch before finishing off our shopping.
It was extremely busy as we entered, but less than 5 minutes later we were seated. Our drinks order was taken shortly after we were seated, then our food order. I was a little surprised that a side portion of fries we had ordered was delivered almost immediately. They were hot and deliciously crispy. We had expected them to be delivered with our mains.
Our main courses were absolutely divine. The Il Limone my wife’s favourite and my Salmon salad were as good as we expected them to be. As it was so busy and noisy, when we finished eating there were people queuing to be seated. We decided to forego deserts and pay at the counter. Allowing others to be seated more speedily.
We love eating here and will return…

I met two friends here on a wet, cold late afternoon....The waitress was very friendly & chatty, one of the waiters went out of his way to help me as a gift I had brought with me was wet through, we only had coffee & cake (which was delicious) & he presented me with some free strawberries & cream.
Everytime I visit Luciano's the food is delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, its comfortable, clean & a lovely place to be, whether alone or with children👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Love it.

Booked lunch for 6 of us. Arrived and waitress fabulous. Ordered food. Waiter came and served us but was not coming to the side of person to put plate on the table was leaning right across table to give you your plate. This is not good manners. I was given mine but the waiter caught my full tall glass of fresh orange juice and knocked it over me. I was soaked. I stood up and the juice was dripping from my soaked dress and running down my legs. My feet were slipping in my sandals my feet were wet through. No apologies made to me and no offer of help. I was in the toilets for ages trying to dry my dress to allow me to return to our table and eat. When I got back to my table my food (pitta bread and hummus)had been left there so was now cold. Pitta bread now hard. To add insult to injury the waitress brought a small plate with 5 sweet things there was 6 of us. I don’t eat sweets so no apologies for me still. My friends paid their bills first to see if they were going to do the right thing by not taking any money from me. But they took my money so I paid for hard pitta bread I couldn’t eat and getting soaked by orange juice. I will never return and my friends were very disappointed that the management didn’t come and apologise

We have visited Lucianos many times in 2023 and always enjoyed the food and service. Since the new, more expensive menu change in 2023 the quality of the food has deteriorated. Today the ministrone named soup was clear in colour and contained just small chunks of potato and even smaller pieces of carrot with a few bits of pasta. Any tomato, cabbage, onion or pulses were absent. The service remained good. Tables were vacant which shows others are noticing the unfortunate decline.

We chose the French toast, it was OK, but there was hardly any mascarpone and half a strawberry sliced, nothing like the picture on their website. The salmon and scrambled eggs was also OK, but the person dishing out the plates is very inconsistent with portions as we got hardly any salmon and a small portion of egg, where as another table got double the amount of both salmon and egg!
The crepes were nice.
Sadly we wouldn't return for food, there are much better places to go.

This place is ok for lunch. Limited lunch menu. Sandwiches are expensive for a cafe. I had a prawn sandwich which was drowned in sauce which made it soggy and was not very generous either prawns. Tuna mayonnaise, again tuna to mayo ratio a bit wet! Pleasant enough place.

Ordered the breakfast bruschetta and the 2 slices of bread were tiny! I didn't want to complain but maybe l should have. Previously the portion sizes were fine so it seems inconsistent. Looking at the same order of another customer they had larger portion sizes! Disappointed for the price and will go elsewhere for breakfast now.

They took one of the vegetarian pasta meals and just didn't make it with the cheese. The waiter was reluctant to speak to the chief and find out if there was anything different they could make which was frustrating, as they have done this in the past. To have a standard dish but with something removed never feels very satisfactory. The portion size was small but it was very nice. There was nothing at all we could eat for dessert.

We always enjoy the chance to have lunch here, generally after a wander round the shops while our dog is being groomed nearby.
It has never failed to impress, with my other half even eating lobster ravioli, while I love the salad and the mushroom risotto. The breakfasts look delicious, but we always arrive after they stop serving at noon.
Staff are friendly and helpful, it's always busy, meals arrive in good time and there's a great vibe. The only minor downside is only having one toilet cubicle, leaving my prostrate obsessed partner distracted as he monitors any queue and gets ready for a mid-meal sprint whenever the loo seems to be becoming vacant.

Doing our last minute Christmas shopping at Middlebrook retail park, we decided to go for an early lunch around 12.30pm at Luciano’s. We were so glad we went when we did, we were immediately shown to a table and our drinks order taken.
Within a few minutes of entering and being seated, the restaurant was full with people queuing up. We ordered our food, which as usual was delicious and piping hot. We finished off with coffees and paid, allowing a waiting couple a seat.
We never lingered when finished, as some people do. We are always conscious of others and try to be as considerate as possible. The staff were friendly and attentive as usual.

We arrived just before the rush of customers at lunchtime, all the staff very attentive. My chicken wings starter and prawn pasta main was perfectly balanced with spice, garlic pesto. Sadly no room to contemplate a dessert but will try on my next visit 👍

We had an amazing meal at Lucianos celebrating a family birthday. The staff were friendly and engaging, particularly with my children (7yo and 3yo). The food was fantastic and incredibly delicious!! There was no children’s menu but every dish was available as a half portion for the kids and they even made a plain tomato sauce pasta dish off menu for my youngest. Would recommend 100% and looking forward to our next visit !

Real authentic Italian food (Sicilian to be precise) with friendly and inviting staff, great coffee, desserts, beer just as you would find in Italy. Very affordable prices too - the same in London would be several times more expensive. Great for a spot of lunch on Bolton matchdays too. Highly recommended 👍

Been several times before and enjoyed each visit, this time it wasn’t as good! My panini was very dry, the cheese hadn’t melted the sausage and caramelised onion together as you’d expect, as I was eating it everything fell out and I ended up eating the sausage separately and then the bread, hardly any cheese or onions. The staff seemed to want to turn the tables over quicker as opposed to providing a service to those that were in. When we asked for the bill the server stood with us with a card machine before we even had chance to have a look/sort a tip, we had to awkwardly sort it whilst she stood there. The tip was then brought back to us even though we said it was there’s, no one said bye or thank you as we left. Wouldn’t rate it lower as I’m seeing it as a ‘one off’ the food was still okay and the staff were polite. Just a few tweaks to get it back to usual standards!
