A classic Belgian place with some of the local dishes (boules - meatballs), which I can only recommend trying. The taste flambé is a local interpretation, so don't expect a classic dish here. Service was terrible, rude, non existing. Was ignored upon sitting down on the terrace, and was finally acknowledged after 2 other tables were served coming after me. Server never returned to take my order. Flagged another server, she brought a menu, but never returned. Finally...another server (#3) came and I ordered. They didn’t bring the correct item, after waiting another 15 minutes for an espresso and water. Sadly this place is in a nice location, but completely lacks in service and competenance. They have many servers and the restaurant was not busy. Terrible!More

This Taverne has an ideal location, right along a small river, in the middle of the main square of the little town of Vaux-sous-Chèvremont. Eating and having a drink there is a treat in the summer thanks to its wonderful Terrasse. Bear in mind that...you might want to book a table when the sun is out... the menu is quite mainstream and typical of venues of the kind in Belgium. However the quality of the ingredients is excellent and the chef always executes to the perfection what is promised on the menu. As a local, this is one of the spots my family and I always go to on a nice summer night. I would definitely recommend it!More
