i stopped here after some shopping at the nearby Barberino outlet. We only had one course each because it was a bit late for the kids, but we totally appreciated all of it. Very nice pizza and a duck second course. The traditional tortelli filled with potatoes were apparently very tasty but I did not have the chance to taste... More

Can't complain about a place called house of game. No really. The boar stew made with Barollo was very good. Potato tortelli excellent. Menu which offers up various choices of hunter's fare from rabbit to cinghiale. House wine from Bolgheri. It's also an agritourism so young families fit in well. Worth the discovery although a bit off the beaten track... More

Excellent food We have eaten here many times over the years and it has never been disappointing, the place lays in a rustic area in the hills, the terrace has a lovely view over the valley a typical tuscan setting. The food is typical Tuscan as well, good quality products prepared with care, tasteful without being overruled with spices it... More

Stopped at this restaurant for dinner on our latest trip. The restaurant was busy but we got seated within 10 minutes. We asked the waitress to serve us the speciality dishes fo the region. The food, the service was the best we had in our entire trip. Both children ordered pizza and me and my husband had all the specialitiy... More

(April 2013) We were staying in the countryside (Scarperia) and happened upon this restaurant while driving around. It was a Wednesday and technically 'off-season', and there weren't any other customers. They were so kind and the food was delicious! I highly recommend going if you're in the area.

Mirella is an awesome host, she treats her guests as Family. Here, you can eat homemade pasta. It is absolutely a culinary success! Traditional Tuscan flavors with a twist. My 5 year had a wonderful time eating there and playing around the villa overlooking Galliano.....

A great restaurant, that survived it's move from the hills above Vicchio to Galliano very well. Mirella is a great hostess and the food is simple yet excellent. Try the duck breast capaccio, the pasta con salsa tartuffata and the controfiletto. Yumm. The wild boar stew is great as well. Real Italy

For those who have not been in a while the Casa di Caccia has moved to Galliano. They still have the same great food they have always had but no longer do they have the spectacular view. Yes the menu remains unchanged and my favorite is still the ravioli stuff with smoked scamarzo and with a truffle sauce. The new... More

We had heard about this place but had opted not to go because it is so far off the beaten path. Then we took a wrong turn and ended up on the road there anyway, so we kept going. It is on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. It is small, and so when it is full... More
