After being here before and enjoying it, we decided to head to Aggra for a New Year’s Eve meal. It just seemed we waited for ever for every part of the meal process. I would understand if the restaurant was packed out, there were around...7 tables of customers and 2 front of house staff waiting on. It got to the point of me deciding that if no one had come back to me once I had finished my 1st drink then I would be leaving, it was an extremely close call, as we hadn’t even had the order for food taken. (Only drinks and poppadoms at this stage). I thought we would be seeing in the new year still sat at the table - we arrived at 8pm, had a disappointing starter followed by a main course (which was lovely) - wasn’t going to wait for coffee or deserts and left for about 10pm.
Bathroom visit was grim to say the least - a grimy dirty piece of a soap bar was by the sink, totally un-inviting, please just invest in some liquid soap! (At least I would feel more confident that the staff have washed their hands that way too!!)
Unlikely to visit again any time soon unless things improve.More
Our local Indian and we love it and visit on a regular basis
The place itself it a little tired but the curries the staff and the service are great. We have always been looked after and given friendly service. We love the Naga curry...and it comes just like we like it. Do not judge a book by its cover.More
Well.....the venue is ok, staff friendly. A wide menue however both my starter and main did not come as ordered and when this was raised I was told my choice had been taken off the menu so they gave me an alternative without even asking...me! My partners meal came as chicken not lamb as requested with no explanation given when challenged. Drinkw choice limited and draft beer watered down so I would advise getting bottle only. Having said this the food was very tasty. The toilets!! Disgusting don't even go in there!! Definitely not a place I would revisit.More
I use this restaurant as my go to for a local meal / takeaway. The quality of the food is good and the service is very friendly and attentive. worth a visit if you're after a local good value for money restaurant.
We ate here on Saturday 6th May 2017 as a couple - we both said that it was a really great meal in all respects.
We had poppadoms with chutneys to start - really nice.
For our starters we had chicken chat and hot chicken...wings - lovely.
For mains we had fish tikka with a side of sag gobi and a chicken naga - brilliant.
We shared a portion of chips and boiled rice.
All of the food was so nicely cooked and presented and tasted really lovely.
The restaurant is nicely laid out and has some nice seating.
The staff in the Agra are so nice and really go out of their way to make sure you have a nice meal.
We really enjoyed it and will go again.More
