Recommended by a fellow customer at a services up the road as looking for an easy potion for an early dinner. Was given an excellent warm greeting with options as to where we wished to eat. Menu was so good we struggled to make a choice but I went for one of the home made pizzas which was fab and... More

We ate here on a Sunday evening, the food was faultless and so tasty with good portions and fab service. Beth and hannah served us and couldn't do enough to make our special anniversary meal perfect. It was so good we returned on Monday for a pizza and that also didn't disappoint. We were staying In the lane house so... More

The food is lovely we would highly recommend. The wait wasn't long and we were seated straight away. We were sat on a very small table and both had mains with a garlic bread to share and really struggled with room on the table. As it seems like a popular place it was really busy and the table we were... More

Called for an evening meal, the salmon and crayfish in lobster was one of the best meals I've ever tasted, I didn't want it to end. Friendly staff, good selection of food and drink. Found out they do accommodation, so will definitely be booking a stay.

We booked here and were surprised to have got a table at short notice for valentines evening. As a picky vegetarian my husband had checked the options for me ahead of our visit. He was told there would be a valentines menu or we could order off the main menu. Upon arrival we were shown to our table and ordered... More

Popped in on a Sunday evening having only visited once before a couple of years ago. Hadn't realised what a really nice place it is. Very clean, comfy and welcoming. The beer was good, food really good and the friendly genuine nature of hosts even better. Will certainly not wait another couple of years before returning.

Spent part of my misspent youth in this pub, but my how it's changed. Took my mum for dinner there and it was superb. Shared the fish starter between three of us, it would have been enough as a main! Great atmosphere and very attentive staff

We ate here on Thursday 2nd April in the evening. Staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, well presented and piping hot. If you want olde world then book a table in the pub area, if you want modern book a table in the barn area. We have eaten in many places in the south lakes... More

We booked for Sunday afternoon for the family. The barn restaurant is beautiful and I would love to see it again in the summer with the big doors open. I had a chicken and veg soup to start- very nice with lots of chicken. I had roast port- lots of apple sauce and crackling- It was amazing. My husbands gamon... More
