Absolutely great!
Tasty and innovative, great service, excellent food. Excellent raw materials. Large space with a visible kitchen, good acoustics. Very clean.
High quality wine and olive oil which they make here. Great pasta, chicken, beef. Entrees, main dishes and desserts, all v good indeed.
Great value.
A wonderful experience at Kibbutz Gat, 50 min drive from Tel Aviv.

A family run place. Some of the food is Italian and some is Indian which is an interesting combination.
The food was great.
I had one of the specials - a meat Biryani that took me back to the best Indian food I ever had.

This winery/Restaurant is located in Kibbutz Gat, in close proximity to Kiriat-Gat.
This restaurant combines the south-indian and Italian cuisines, which produces a very unique and tasty dishes,
Together with wines that they produces, the lovely restaurant and the great service,
it is a great experience, which gives you the value-for-money you expected.
Note: the place is open only in the weekends (Thursday-Saturday).

We had a family dinner. The restaurant looks nice and pleasant. We liked the space between the tables. Food was very good, as well as the local wine. However, dishes are quite small. The total price for the meal wasn't cheap at all.

Lovely way to begin a Saturday morning is with Irit from La Terra Promessa winery. We tasted 4 wines that she served with fresh veggies and bread and olive oil that they also make. We started with the 2017 Emerald Reisling a dry white wine - not my favorite, but they do sell a lot. We are more of a red wine group. We then had the 2014 Primitivo - it had good legs and a wonderful body; 2015 Rosa Del Desserto - a great full body blend; and finished with the 2014 Syrah which my son liked (however I am not a Syrah fan either). Irit was great with sharing the wineries history and information about their restaurant. A great way to spend a morning!!

We were a group of six and chose La Terra Promessa as our venue for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. We tasted excellent specimen from their winery and did some purchases consequently and then had a most exquisite lunch based on Italian and South Indian ( Kochi ) cuisine. It was a real feast whereby we shared plates and enjoyed the beautiful pates laid out so gracefully it was a pity to destroy the beauty but hunger and curiosity prevailed. A celebration of beauty and tastes.

We heard about this place in our search of the Primitivo wine (the origin of the Zinfandel). Someone told us that there is a winery in Kibbutz Gat (adjacent to Kiryat Gat) that makes it. We called to find out what exactly they do, and were told us that they do not only make wine but also run a restaurant. We picked up the glove and drove all the way to see with our own eyes. The findings were amazing: They have a wonderful restaurant, serving an amazing selection of Italian (the owner is Sandro Pelegrini...) and Indian (Sandro's wife, Irit, is from an Indian origin) dishes. The wines they make - not just the Primitivo, but a selection of 7-8 different wines, reds and white, varietal wines and blends - are excellent, based on their own vineyards; one can have the experience of wine-tasting in the restaurant, or have an excellent meal with or without wine, or combine a meal with wine tasting... The owners are very flexible and willing. The food is excellent, same as the wines. Before leaving, one can also buy wines to take home. It is worth it... and the entire experience is absolutely worth the 50-60 minutes it takes to get there by car from Tel Aviv.

La Terra Promessa is a nice family restaurant and wine house. The food is delicious with both Europian and Indian flavors. The service is great and the family is very friendly. There is plenty of free parking just outside the restaurant.

This quaint winery & restaurant founded by Sandro and Irit Pellegrini is a true culinary gem. Italian - Mediterranean style wine selection alongside Italian- Cochin menu will make any wine/food buff extremely happy. Fine hospitality in a perfect near romantic setting, with Italian music soundtrack for the final touch up, will definitely confuse you... and make you wonder weather you're in Tuscany or in the northern part of the Negev in Israel. Even if you're staying in the Tel Aviv area, don't miss out, as it's only 40 minutes away.

The restaurant is located in Kibbutz GAT, north of Kiryat Gat (on route no.383, byroad of main road No. 40).
The place operates only on weekends, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so it's recommended to check and book ahead.
There are a lot of convenient free parking places next to the restaurant .
That great, rural, chef restaurant (adjacent to the boutique winery with the same name) is run by a couple, him being the chef of the restaurant.
The restaurant is spacious and bright and the décor is simple but very aesthetic. The intervals between tables are relatively big, allowing maximum privacy for diners. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and cozy.
The restaurant is suitable for any group size of diners or celebrating family meals or events (with children too),
Restaurant is serving nice a variety of amazing, very tasty Italian and Cochin (KO-chin) dishes (the birthplaces of owners), full of flavors, from fresh seasonal ingredients, nicely and esthetically presented, We tried: Trio of Cochin salads, Squash Carpaccio and Bresaola from starters, traditional Cochin beef stew, served on polenta and fresh Fettuccine with Zucchini and Sage from mains and Pear and almond tart for dessert, which were all Very tasty. We also ordered a bottle of their Diverso 2011 red wine (blend of three grapes varieties) which was tasty too.
The service was very friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable.
As a bonus, you can purchase from selection of wines and olive oil produced by the winery.
One of the best restaurants in the south district. We look forward to our next visit.

My wife and I went to this restaurant on Friday noon. The cuisine is Kochi(=Cochin)-Italian and run by a Kochi wife and an Italian husband chef. We were curious to taste the combination outcome: the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We were the only diners throughout our stay (and asked the owners about it). We were served water without asking and after consulting with the wife, ordered a bottle of their 2011 Primitivo red wine (Zinfandel) which was tasty, fruity, and light, and accompanied our meal very nicely. We even bought 2 bottles to take with us home. We were promised that the food is not hot or spicy, since it is also a winery. We started with Kochi salads trio, wrapped in 3 coned light tortillas, which were very gentle and tasty. The chef also complimentary served fried polenta slices with mushrooms and mozzarella. I usually don't like polenta, but it was delicious. For our main courses we ordered a Kochi beef stew with polenta and chicken-fillet with curry, cashew nuts, coriander, and mint. They were both perfect, we could feel all ingredients' flavors, and enjoyed every bite. For dessert we ordered Mango parfait and coffee. The restrooms were clean and nice. It was such a great experience and we personally went to the kitchen to thank the chef. We asked how come there was no-one else and were answered that the place usually gets crowded on Friday night and Saturday morning. We will definitely come back again, this time bring friends with us.

We reserved a table for Shabbat 2pm, but we were asked to arrive at 3pm. A bit of pressure over the phone and our table was reserved for 2.30pm. We arrived at 1.45 and inquired if there was a table. Surprisingly, the place was less than 1/2 occupied. We happily got our table and the menu came in no time. I ordered a calf brain first course and my partner a grilled eggplant with silan. After 10 minutes, the waitress returned stating the brains had been "devoured". So I had sweetbreads with mushrooms. Now this was very tasty but minimal in size. It was embarrassingly small.
My partner was happy with her eggplant. For main course I ordered tongue with polenta. The tongue was cooked and good, but again 2 very small morsels. My partner was happy with her chicken fillets. Service was very slow and tables were empty. We took a peek at the (large) kitchen and saw the chef, it seemed on his own. Could it be that they didn't want to overload their chef, declining our initial reservation?
The price for each dish was extremely high. We had to wait 20 minutes for the bill to be served. Poor service, how ever it was delivered with a smile.
