Located in the Royal Naval Dockyard, or very close to it, which is the cruise port for Bermuda. At the far end, more or less, of the Dockyard is it a bit of a walk, but is just past one of the Dockyard’s major attractions,...the Clocktower Shopping Mall. I sat at the bar before the crowd arrived. Very generous cold and delicious draft beer. Great atmosphere - unlike some other restaurants/bars in the very touristy Dockyard the Anchor did not try too hard to be ‘cute’. I didn’t eat, but others close to me at the bar did, and they told me that the food was the best that they had had in a while. I just wish I had come here more often during my short visit to Bermuda.More

Stopped for lunch, not busy. Service good. Limited beer on tap. Fish spinach tortilla excellent, grilled a bit. Blt sandwich tasty, loaded with bacon, fries good. Biggest complaint was the lack of decent a/c

Cute & convenient restaurant located at the Dockyard in Bermuda where the cruise ships dock. They have outdoor dining in the front and in the back. I wanted to try the local cocktail called the Rum Swizzle. It was good and refreshing. The waiter was...nice & accommodating.More

Maz quickly became a family friend. The best cocktails, ask for the Spicy Gingerina, my fav!!! If you are looking for a great meal, ask for the Local Fish Sandwich, amazing! Good food, good drinks and good people. What else do you need in life....Maz, you made our time in Bermuda memorable!More

This restaurant/bar was great! We sat at the bar and the owner Maz served us. He makes the very best drinks! Great mixologist! Funny, sweet! We had the best time here. Met a bunch of locals and had the yummiest fish sandwich. Do not miss...this place!More

Said they were open on Mondays, but we’re closed at 12:20 after a lengthy walk in the heat!! Not very astute - maybe they have closed permanently!! Very very annoying!

Enjoyed a Local Take of Fish and Chips, Great Batter with a little tasty spice (not hot). Huge Chunks of Fish - restaurant made Tarter and Rough cut fries (chips). Very Friendly Staff and lively setting. Outside you see the Old Fort and Hillside prison...with goats trimming the grass. Well worth the 15 minute walk and leisurely shop on the way back to pier.More

We had a great time here. The owner, Maz, served us and we opted for the fish sandwich as the chef intended. Can I say - WOW! It is on raisin bread - do NOT let that fool you. It was absolutely amazing and huge!...Makes me want to go back for the food and company! Maz made me a fabulous margarita and my husband an impeccable mohito! The fish sandwich alone is worth the trip.More

Well we told the kids (teens) we were going to a museum and they chose to stay back at the Vrbo! Our museum was the bar! The bartender “Amazing” Mars put a lot of care into our drinks. He wanted to make sure we had...an experience to remember and “not a drink you can just get anywhere.” We enjoyed our trip to the “museum” and our chat with Amazing Mars. The food was good too! Fish balls for everyone!More

Yesterday we had lunch for my friend’s birthday. She called to enquire about vegan food and they said they would prepare something for her. The chef had prepared a three course lunch. Not only was it delicious it was prepared as if he was creating...a work of art, each course came and we almost expected a fanfare of trumpets. Service, quality of food, presentation, taste and price were excellent. The best kept secret in Bermuda. Not for long I sill share the good news. Well done Anchor team we will come again.More

Arrived in Bermuda towards the end of a 55 day cruise and decided to have a coffee and catch up on emails after a few sea days. I ordered a coffee and asked for the WiFi code only to be refused unless I spent a...minimum of $10 on food/drink. There were only 3 people in the restaurant at the time and thought the abrupt attitude of the staff member was a disgrace. Needless to say I won’t return there again but had a fabulous time at the nearby museum which had complimentary WiFi.More

We entered and a large group was present and we thought we would have to wait for our food. The general manager was on his game and sat us in the bar section which was less crowded. Service was good throughout and they accommodated our...request when we asked if we could change a starch. The whaoo special sounded great and we almost ordered it until my guest said "let's look at the menu". I am glad we did. We ordered 3 panko crusted fishcakes. When we thought we would get a generic hot sauce for them we were presented with a homemade one. Nice. They really try and meet your needs. Wish I had ordered 6 of those fishcakes. Anyway, we shared it and wow.!!!!!! Great. Delicious. We made a good choice. For an entree we ordered the seafood combination. Everything tasted fresh and portions were good. The peas and rice is presented as a pyramid....I get it "triangles."...the Bermuda triangle. The cole slaw was fresh and filling. We were full so we had to skip desserts. This was an excellent experience all around and we will be back. This was it!!!!!!!!! with regards to service and excellent tasting food in an historic part of Bermuda. Feeling full after the meal we walked into many historic buildings before going back to Hamilton by ferry which in itself is a glorious ride seeing smaller islands, clear blue waters and multi-coloured houses.More

We stopped for dinner after returning from Hamilton on the ferry. The weather was nice enough that we sat at one of the outside tables. The service was very good as was the food. We enjoyed the atmosphere sitting outside and watching the Dockyard as...we ate. This is definitely a place that we would visit again.More
