Yesterday we had lunch for my friend’s birthday. She called to enquire about vegan food and they said they would prepare something for her. The chef had prepared a three course lunch. Not only was it delicious it was prepared as if he was creating a work of art, each course came and we almost expected a fanfare of trumpets. Service, quality of food, presentation, taste and price were excellent. The best kept secret in Bermuda. Not for long I sill share the good news. Well done Anchor team we will come again.

We had heard so much about the fish sandwiches in Bermuda that we decided we had to try them during the one evening we had in Bermuda. This restaurant is within walking distance to the cruise port and definitely worth the walk. As we were seated we were given the Dinner Menu which did not include the fish sandwich. We mentioned this to the waiter and he pulled out the Lunch Menu for us. They had Fish & Chips on the Dinner menu, but we wanted to try the sandwiches which were served on raisin bread. Since is the way the locals eat it we wanted to see what they liked. The fish was cooked perfectly. The breading was very tasty and just enough to coat the fish, but did not take away from the freshness of the fish. The raisin bread was much better than I expected. I was afraid it would be too sweet and overpower the fish. It was not. It was more savory and added another level to the sandwich. The sandwich came with a pile of hot, perfectly cooked (again) fries. We were a group of 8 and not everyone ordered the sandwiches, but all were very satisfied with their meals. If I make it back to Bermuda, I will stop again.

We had a great time here. The owner, Maz, served us and we opted for the fish sandwich as the chef intended. Can I say - WOW! It is on raisin bread - do NOT let that fool you. It was absolutely amazing and huge! Makes me want to go back for the food and company! Maz made me a fabulous margarita and my husband an impeccable mohito! The fish sandwich alone is worth the trip.

Arrived in Bermuda towards the end of a 55 day cruise and decided to have a coffee and catch up on emails after a few sea days. I ordered a coffee and asked for the WiFi code only to be refused unless I spent a minimum of $10 on food/drink. There were only 3 people in the restaurant at the time and thought the abrupt attitude of the staff member was a disgrace. Needless to say I won’t return there again but had a fabulous time at the nearby museum which had complimentary WiFi.

Enjoyed a Local Take of Fish and Chips, Great Batter with a little tasty spice (not hot). Huge Chunks of Fish - restaurant made Tarter and Rough cut fries (chips). Very Friendly Staff and lively setting. Outside you see the Old Fort and Hillside prison with goats trimming the grass. Well worth the 15 minute walk and leisurely shop on the way back to pier.

Amazing service from start to finish. As soon as we arrived the owner made us special drinks that tasted amazing we eventually ordered more. We started with the sushi which they suggested and as a frequent local sushi consumer I must say it’s one of the best sushi rolls I have had yet. For the main course we had the half broiled lobster that was so delicious. I was left so satisfied. What a great date night. This place is truly a hidden gem of Bermuda.

Located in the Royal Naval Dockyard, or very close to it, which is the cruise port for Bermuda. At the far end, more or less, of the Dockyard is it a bit of a walk, but is just past one of the Dockyard’s major attractions, the Clocktower Shopping Mall. I sat at the bar before the crowd arrived. Very generous cold and delicious draft beer. Great atmosphere - unlike some other restaurants/bars in the very touristy Dockyard the Anchor did not try too hard to be ‘cute’. I didn’t eat, but others close to me at the bar did, and they told me that the food was the best that they had had in a while. I just wish I had come here more often during my short visit to Bermuda.

Asked the locals for the best fish sandwich on the island and was told you must stop here. We were not disappointed! The fish sandwich is served on lightly toasted raisin bread with a special sauce and it was AMAZING! Came with a large portion of haddock and served with cole slaw. Fries were included. Served hot and tasty! Service was excellent and good ambiance. Seating inside or outside. If you get to Bermuda you MUST stop here.

Excellent restaurant & bar that we visit every time we’re in Bermuda. At our recent visit, hubby had the Bonita and he says it was awesome. I had the red beet salad with fluffy goat cheese (yummy!) We shared the cauliflower bite’s appetizer (a must!). William took care of when we originally visited years ago & greets us like family. He always checks on us and makes sure we have a great time. We also had the great experience of having the owner as the bartender this time. He entertained us with tossing bottles around, making specialty shots, setting drinks on fire, and made everyone fabulous drinks. We always love visiting & they welcome everyone & treat you like family. We will be back in May!

Not great sorry ,the portion was kind of mean and very little fish in a dry sandwich . I should have sent it back for being cold but I was starving it was my breakfast at 2 pm so sadly they perhaps will keep this standard up . Waiter not friendly and was stuffy when I wanted to order before my friend arrived but we were paying separate and it was just not a etiquette lecture I needed just my food !

We were in Bermuda on a cruise. We did the late tour Rum tasting and came here for dinner. We met the rest of our family, who had already got to know the owner and his grandson. His grandson is the same age as our granddaughter that was on the cruise with us. We got there they served us drinks and took our order. The food came out piping hot and was so amazingly good. We talked all night to the owners. They are a great family and a great restaurant. Highly recommend going to et there if you are in Bermuda

Delicious food and terrific waiter We enjoyed dinner on the patio. Had a variety of dishes and loved them all. We shared conch fritters, beet salad, calamari and lamb shank and creme brule. All really good. ( snd I am what used to be called a foodie.) Enjoyed our server, Robert too. A lovely evening.

One of our best meals in Bermuda!! Taxi driver recommended and we were thrilled he did. We were seated promptly and food came out fast. We had a tuna appetizer that was delicious. My daughters and I got the shrimp in curry sauce dish it was outstanding! My husband had a salad which he loved. Our waiter was very attentive. Maz, the owner started joking around with our oldest daughter and told her he was going to teach her how to make shots. She had a blast learning and then we all toasted Bermuda together. Maz included everyone and also talked to us about the area and things to do. We had such a fun night with such a gracious, friendly man and his staff. We will definitely go back!
