I visited this place several times, both for lunches and dinners. Every time the food was excellent and remined me "home made" dishes served by my Grandma. So if you are looking for a real taste of the eastern Poland cuisine (.i.e. pierogi, kartacze, potato...meals, etc.) that's the place to visit. It is not resembling originial taste - it is real taste of meals from this region of Poland.More
Nice regional atmosphere (cozy, quiet, ect) with good and pleasant service. Changed floors from 1 to ground floor for very easy street access, especially for older people. Saw famous polish actor there, Daniel Olbrychski.
If you're looking to try the authentic cuisine of the Podlasie region, this is the place to go!
My family is from here and they all attest that this is the one place where they make these special dishes correctly. The region's traditional cuisine is...based on potatoes, pork and wheat so take that into consideration while making your choice. They are all delicious but the most special are baba, zaguby, pielmeni, pierogi and kartacze. They are all very fresh and good 😊 . I will certainly be back.More
The restaurant brought us everything we counted on in case of the Polish regional cuisine.
Eastern Polish specialities based on potato kartacze, babka ziemniaczana) were really great.
For sure will recommend the place to my friends and will visit it next time I'm in the...region.More
I was impressed with the taste of all my meals - all of them reminded my childhood and my grandmother's cuisine :-) If you want to try something traidtional for the eastern regions of Poland and be sure that it tastes like homemade - that's...the place to visit!!More
The place is situated at the first floor and accessing it by the people with the limited mobility is not possible. Food is not fresh. They prepare it a few days in advance. The service is not customer-friendly.More

Very nice place to taste local food. Local cook serving very local dishes. Recommending with no doubt! Kiszka ziemniaczana, zaguby, babka ziemniaczana and kartacze- in this order must try if you want to test local flavours :)
I've had an opportunity to visit eastern Poland because my wife's family lives there. I wanted to eat something really traditional and during the trip along eastern border we came around to the restaurant "U Ireny" in Drohiczyn! What a lovely place! I ate very...well! The best what I can reccomend are "Zaguby", kind of meal made from potatoes and flour. Waitress was also really nice, as all polish women.More
