if you are looking for something good to eat after a long day of fun at the Klimkowska Lake and want to try something new, there is no better place than Gościnna Chata in Wysowa. They serve amazing food of people who live in this...area called Łemkowie, very flavorful and gorgeous looking dishes. There are vegan options as well. Nice bears and meads to accompany the dinner. And the service, I can easily give a 5 stars. Definitely will visit them again.More

All just delicious. Staff nice and helpful. Very surprising and good sour cabbage pancakes. Home made soft drinks also very good and natural.

I would suggest to read something about Lemkos before you go to this restaurant. Especially about the WWII history, Ukrainian Insurgant Army, and the deportation operation “Wisła”. So the Lemkos nation disappeared from Poland, but their culture and traditions are still there in a form...of wooden churches, some old barns, and ... a couple restaurants (like Goscinna) that serve the Lemkos and Bojków (another ethnic group disappeared during Wisla) food. We ordered “war” - a soup made of sauerkraut juice, served with meat dumplings and bread with “skwarki” - pork fat baked with onion. O holly cow!!! it was a best soup ever. The main entrance were also very original and tasty: sauerkraut pancakes, and potato’s noodles served with goulash. Be aware, there is one dish (I think is called ”pantyniok z Maslow” - a potato’s pancake with garlic butter that requires one hour in oven. If you after this dish, call in advance to short the waiting time.More

The food was absolutely great. We had pierogi with cabbage and cheese, pierogi with goat type of cheese, pierogi with apple and ice cream - all fantastic. Only missing star is to the fact that it was only one waitress so she was very busy,...very kind professional and helpful. So the missing star is to the owners fault who should make sure appropriate level of staff in the busy time. - Still place worth to visit!!!!More

What a great find. Have dined here 3 times during our week in Krakow. The food is amazing . I have never tasted neck of pork like it in my entire life. It melts in the mouth. Love this place and recommend it as it's...authentic fayre ...plenty of it too. Would recommend the potato cakes with pickles , neck of lamb and vegetable salad followed by the sweet dumplings filled with plums , honey and walnuts . The mead is a knockout as well...I could go on.... Don't go to Krakow without eating here at least once and you won't be disappointed.More

Restaurant Gościnna Chata is located in the centre of the spa village Wysowa-Zdrój close to the Slovak border. Spa facilities and a pleasant spa park are at walking distance. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The inn had quite some guests, a good...sign. We were not disappointed. A nice rural atmosphere and good food define its character. The menu is traditional, good quantities of Lemko and Polish cuisine. Don’t expect fine dining. Furniture and decoration in rural style give the restaurant a simple yet pleasant ambiance. Service is adequate and friendly. We recommend Gościnna Chata to anyone who appreciates tasty, straightforward regional food at a good price-quality ratio.More

We stumbled into this restaurant and were so pleased! It was the best meal we had on all of our vacation. Our waitress was delightful and the ambiance seemed authentic. All the food was tasty and fresh, the best stuffed cabbage we've ever had!

Found this gem tucked down a street near the central square in the Old Town. Excellent food and ambience plus beautiful music and exceptional service by Caroline (my spelling). It's the only place in our short stay that we returned to again, since there is...so much choice in Krakow. Can't wait to return.More
