Together with a colleague of mine we dined yesterday at Herbowa. We ate tatar, golombki and placki ziemniaczane. Food was good somehow done differently compared to other regions in Poland but good. Most of all great service thanks to the best waitress Ms. Marta. Definitely...worth tryingMore

Herbowa sits on the first floor of a renovated castle which also houses a high quality hotel. Next to the castle is a small wood which is pleasant for walks and the recently constructed thermal bath complex in Uniejów. I popped in for a quick...mid-week lunch with my four and six year old children. There was a good children's menu from which they chose (of course) pancakes. I went for beef fillet with chips and mixed salad and a coffee. Restaurant has a pleasant historic atmosphere with shields, halberds and swords on the wall and coats of arms on the ceiling ("herb" means "coat of arms" in Polish whence the restaurant's name). Service was friendly, portions generous and food very tasty. The kids were delighted with their pancakes and my beef was well presented if a little underdone for "medium". Prices were very reasonable by UK standards and not unreasonable by Polish ones for most main courses. The coffee was a highlight and really stood out for me. Toilet facilities were excellent and there was also a kid's corner where my two could let off steam with colouring after their meal. We went for a pleasant stroll after lunch through the wood which led back to the car park by the baths ("Termy"). Definitely highly recommended.More

Great food and the service is very profesional, kind and gentle. Only thing bad - you will have to carry your lady on hands, because the oryginal old rock pavement is terrible for stilettos

The first time I visited Herbowa I was there with my family and a little scared that the food will be out of our price range. However, the costs were surprisingly low for the service and excellent dishes we got. A few months later I...got engaged and was looking for a venue that isn't all pink suede and bows. I was very suprised how hard it is to find such a place in my city, and how indifferent, or even rude were the owners. When I was already completely resigned, I found Herbowa's website and decided to call, again thinking: this venue will probably be out of our price range. Not only the costs are competitive, but the host of Herbowa, Mrs Ania, is a wonderful and warm person, that I instantly felt a great connection with. We are now organizing the wedding and I can already tell that we couldn't have found a better place. Not only Herbowa's climate is like no other, but the amount of support we get from Mrs Ania is constantly astonishing. In the meantime we visited Herbowa a few more times, the Chef introduced a new menu, which is even richer than the previous one, but the prices stay reasonable. If you are ever in the neighborhood, Herbowa is a must! You won't regret it :)More
