Considering Providence Bay is tiny and very seasonal the School House does well to stay open far less provide the class of service and food it offers. Staff were friendly, food was delicious and prices reasonable for the quality provided.

We had a memorable dinner here in July 2016 and it was without question our best dining experience on Manitoulin Island. The restaurant's historical setting and decor provided a romantic vibe that was perfect for the birthday that we were celebrating. The food was excellent...More

I had the whitefish that was served with a white wine sauce that was really good and would recommend. It was very interesting to see photos on the walls about the history of the schoolhouse.
We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the School House restaurant in Providence Bay, Manitoulin Island. Both the lamb and trout entrees were delicious. Dessert was also perfect (lemon tart & bread pudding). Excellent quality food served in an unpretentious style.
