A year ago we ate here and thought the the food was good, but it lacked the depth that you would expect from a restaurant of this level and price. I'm afraid to report that this is still the case. Its a great evening out, but you expect a bit more from food at the price level. Is it a... More

We stayed on the Isle of Skye for Christmas and ended up at this place based on reviews. Im pretty certain it was our best meal of the trip. It is very small, you should definitely book in advance. The satnav directions got us there alright (worth mentioning as it is quite out of the way) but it is very... More

Went to Loch Bay for Friday lunch at the end of our week in Skye. It was by far the best meal and service we had all week. The food was excellent and our young children were made very welcome and really enjoyed the menu which the waitress took time to explain to them. Our 9 year old son polished... More

We enjoyed our meal, but the menu is very limited. For main course there was beef rib & tongue, hake and cockles or a vegetarian option. It is French/Scottish cuisine. There is a 3 course menu for £39 or a 5 course fish menu for £65. My husband and I chose the 3 course menu. The best course was the desert... More

The food was a little disappointing. We had heard that the food had a French fusion. However, our food last night seemed more Asian Fusion. The seafood stew had five spice though it and the wood pigeon came with a samosa. The food would have been good without these added extras, however, the pairings were a little strange. The food... We made reservations before our trip with high expectations. Menu summary indicated choice between "seafood" and "other". I love variety, but cannot eat shellfish. I was prepared to eat the "other" selection. The great sounding menu had mussel niblets, cockles, and other shellfish components in several dishes. I was therefore limited in my choices. Foods were well prepared, presented, and... More

A Scottish fish restaurant with excellent food and charming service - felt "at home" on entering. Several dishes were served in bowles as opposed to,plates which I would prefer (other than for soup which was really good). A lovely location well worth going off the Beaton track to find

We loved it. From the friendly staff to the great food, a total success. Also impressed to see a reasonably priced wine list to accompany the fine dining cuisine. Only 'tiny' complaint for the kitchen; the 'smokey bree' needed taken up a level flavour wise. Otherwise, spot on and looking forward to returning.

We had wanted to dine at the three chimneys but only in order to sample Mr smiths cooking so when we had the opportunity to visit Skye it was to his new restaurant we went . Everything was delicious and we were treated extremely well by the waiting staff , which included Mrs smith . A small restaurant with perhaps... More
