Went on Saturday night for the first time in a year. The food was fantastic with a choice between traditional pub grub and more fancy dishes. Great value (£10 for pie, mash and veg) and portion sizes much healthier than I had expected for the...More

Organised a Christmas meal for 24 people. David (General Manager) was friendly, attentive and thoughtful during the evening. Waitresses were professional and courteous. The menu offered a good selection. The food was attractively presented. All the guests would recommend their choice of food.

Had a great my lunch with my family, the room had a great, relaxing feel and the food looked and tasted great. However the barman/waiter was very inattentive, slow and everything took an age. Customer service c'mon.

Dropped in whilst passing and to our relief meals were served on a weekday until 2.30pm. Very hospital warm environment. Great food although a little pricey for a weekday lunch out. Would definitely go back on a special occasion or with friends.

We moved here in the last couple of years and this has become a regular when we need a break. They always have excellent service, great food and comfortable yet elegant seating.

Very good menu and surprisingly low prices for the quality. Soft shelled crab and Pigeon breast starters were only £7 each and were delicious. Food was very well presented and staff were friendly. I wish this restaurant was nearer to home!!

The last two reviewers must surely have made a mistake and were actually reviewing somewhere else entirely? We very much enjoyed the mains (we both had the locally sourced fillet steak) and the deserts, our visit to The Mill Race marking the conclusion of a...More
