Exceptional meal in a delightful setting.

We ate in the Moody Cow on 5th Feb and had a superb experience. Wasabi fillet steak salad, crab fish cakes, fillet steak and oxe tail burgers and sticky toffee pud - whilst all dishes were delicious, the burgers were just amazing. we don't live far from the Moody Cow but went at the last minute last Friday after receiving bad new about my husbands health. We needed to eat well and forget for a couple of hours. I had really lovely salmon and then stone bass which was beautiful. I cant remember what he had :) but it was good apparently!... More

Visited this pub for the first time with a friend for lunch. Parking excellent and greeted by very friendly and polite staff. Would have liked a lunch menu and was slightly disappointed that all mains were over £15, would have liked something less formal on a Tuesday lunch time. I chose the mushroom lasagne which was nice but overpriced for... More

Perfect little pub. Landlord Chris is a card. All staff are lovely and attentive. Dogs are made as welcome as their owners. The food is fantastic too, just make sure you're hungry. Can't recommend it enough

Family catch up. Staff very attentive, extensive menu. 8pm on Saturday night & 2 of the main dishes were sold out ( unbelievable but only ones which I personally fancied!) Crab cakes were a little too spicy, main courses were good-looked very appealing on the plate. Unfortunately, the batter on the fish was over done which spoilt that one meal.... More

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that we had run out of lamb rump and the Moody Cow pie when you visited us with friend last Saturday evening, I am also quite sorry that there was nothing that you fancied from the ten remaining main courses that we had prepared for dinner that night. We would like... More

Good food, good location. The place was very busy but the service was very good. If in the area again, will definitely re-visit
