Took my mother for a birthday dinner on the basis of recommendations and the extensive and very positive TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The proprietor takes the food orders in person, he is very welcoming. We had the lamb rump and hake as mains....More

We have visited many times and have always been impressed by the friendly service and the quality of the food. It caters for a mix of diners, groups, couples and children. A bit out of the way but worth the visit. We'll be back Again.

We ate Sunday lunch here which was first class, it’s not particularly cheap but the lunch was worth every penny. The best roast beef I’ve tasted in a while. Staff are friendly, service good without being rushed.

I’m not sure but suspect they run a normal full lunch menu. From memory, the most expensive dish was about £11.00. The food I ate there was very well priced for the quality. Book early as they do get full very quickly.

We allow dogs in the bar area, we don’t allow dogs in the dining room, we are very particular about hygiene and food safety is paramount.
