On the way to Goodrich castle we stopped here for a quick bite. It was very quite and we sat inside. Typical countryside pub very quaint and comfortable. Menu was ok but pricey. Decided to have sandwiches. Halloumi for my wife, ham and wholegrain mustard for me. Both nice. Would have preferred it without butter and with more mustard but... More

They managed to squeeze us in on a busy Sunday afternoon and I'm glad they did! Delicious Sunday lunch with great slices of beef and snazzy veg on the side. We promptly wolfed it down after a busy morning at the Castle and saved just enough space for the sticky toffee. Definitely recommend for a delicious meal and exceptional service... More

This is in a super place and has a lovely garden with good quality small children's play area. Varied menu with pub favourites and some other more refined choices. We had a lovely lunch on a summer's day and it was perfect. The interior of the hotel/restaurant is also very attractive and distinctive and it makes an excellent place to... More

Our large family group enjoyed a full English breakfast here, plenty of tea and real coffee, endless extra toast.

This place is very popular with the locals so we would suggest booking a table in advance. We had a side table until one became available. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Nice atmosphere.

We had dinner and breakfast here, all cooked extremely well and served by friendly staff. The prices were reasonable too. Good pub food consistently well cooked.

We visited this pub/restaurant twice with our friends during a recent long break at a nearby B & B. We made sure that we pre-booked as we have eaten here previously on a few occasions. We were certainly not disappointed - the food was excellent, all local produce and freshly prepared as ordered with a good choice of beer and... More

A lovely looking restaurant with an interesting menu and a friendly manager. However, this is meant to be a review about the food. We were happy to wait for the 40 minutes between order and service since we knew things were being cooked to order. My wife's rack of lamb (3 small very pink chops) and vegetables were cold. My...
