The almond croissant cost 6 but about 2times big, and lots of almonds, the stuffing is delicious. I never had such good one anywhere else. I wish it will be more accessible. Both my hudsband and I are very happy we got it.

We ordered 2 toast, a croissant, a bacon bow tie, coffee and an orange juice. Though the food was good, it was extremely expensive (about $25) for what we got. The croissant and the bow tie were both served on the same plate, as was the toast making it difficult to eat without getting bits everywhere. Don't think we'd stop... More

My husband wanted to drive The Pacific Coast Highway and although when we start out from Monterey it was cloudy and got misty along the way by the time we reached the Big Sur Bakery it was warm and sunny. So we were ready to stop and decided to have lunch. We had a lovely chicken sandwich and Bacon and... More

The food is decent, but way overpriced. I don't know how they can justify charging what they do. Unfortunately all of Big Sur is ridiculously overpriced. The Big Sur Bakery needs to reevaluate what they charge.

So glad we hadn't eaten breakfast in Monterey before setting off to drive to Santa Barbara. Peach and blackberry strudel and a great cup of coffee totally hit the spot. All the pastries looked amazing and apparently were freshly made from 4 am daily. Highly recommend.

We went once... Then back again for the almond croissant. I didn't care for the scones, and the coffee was ok but the croissant was excellent.

The BEST coffee of anyplace in Big Sur! Our Barista was super friendly young man who said he had just moved there in July (right before the fires started). Soup, pastries-highly recommend!

Despite the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, we found them underwhelming- yes its a bakery but hey we got there at closing or just after & they simply would not accommodate us getting quick take out/ to go croissants - said come back tomorrow- Hello this place is in the middle of nowhere- who can return just for them.

If you are driving pch. Stop here and get anything. It all looks ridiculous good. Be prepared for the prices. 2 Espresso. 2 Strudels. 6 Macaroons. $35 w/tip. All awesome. Everything on pch is expensive so it's par for the area but more than normal. There quality and wood fired oven pastry is worth the premium. Better than gas station... More
