Probably one of my favorite spots but sadly our favorite chef is gone and so is Sam one of the managers and they now serve a completely different menu that is not close to what they had before. We are heartbroken that just when Sam had everything humming along, apparently the owners wanted to take a different tact and while... More

We'd been hiking all morning, had a wedding to attend early afternoon and was a bit short of time. We stopped at the Roadhouse in hopes we could score a quick, good lunch, and we did! Simply, you place and pay for your oder at the bar and they bring it out to you. I had a delicious shrimp salad,... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch. Very nice setting, casual but slightly upscale compared to the log cabin look nearby. We needed a dog friendly place so out dog Max could join us on the patio and this filled the bill. We went for the daily special of 3 tacos which were done nicely. The beer selection was... More

Recently had lunch here with my husband as we were driving down the coast from Monterey. Casual place, you order at the counter, they give you a number, then bring the food to you. You can sit in front by the road, inside, or out back in the garden area. Very pretty outside. Prompt service. Somewhat limited menu, i had... More

My husband and I had breakfast at the Roadhouse on our trip up Hwy 1. Loved the space, the food was good, there were nice outside areas front and back for sitting. Gas fireplace inside, heaters outside.

We ate breakfast here twice during our stay at Glen Oaks over Labor Day weekend. The restaurant is very casual - you order at the counter from a short menu and they bring you your food. Coffee and water are self-serve. The coffee and donuts were included with our room, and we really enjoyed them. The donuts were housemade, fresh... More

Best biscuits and gravy I've had west of Texas. Very cozy fire and comfortable setting. Outdoor available but too cold today. Friendly service. Reasonable prices

Stopped for lunch after camping out down the road. All the parks where closed due to the fire, but Big Sur was open for business. Ordered the Turkey BLT which was excellent. Drinks are all self serve and. One just has to order everything at the counter. Not very busy considering that it was mid August. Most people seem to... More

Front patio is really cozy with fire pits and lush succulents all around. The back patio has an amazing view of the densely forrested hillside. The breakfast was good but not standout. The hamburger was one of the best I've had. The menus are very small but varied and creative. Great place to hang out and have coffee or a... More
