This restaurant is just great. It was the first one that my friend and I went to when we made it to our hotel in Mexico. It sits on the beach and also has an inside portion which is just great in terms of vibes, photography, and overall satisfaction of being somewhere in paradise. The food is also very good... More

We are always looking for more out of the way places to eat and found this restaurant near the ferry terminal on Puerto Juarez. There is indoor and outdoor dining. We chose outdoor next to the beach. They had beach lounges available if you wanted to stay and hang out on the beach and/or swim. The pirate ships are docked... More

This restaurant located close to the ferry terminal is a great place two sit by the beach, order a cold beer and get some shrimp ceviche. The rest of the food is not bad, but I would just get the ceviche. Sometimes, the pirate ships dock there. So, you get a great picture opportunity. See picture.

Not many restaurants in Puerto Juarez to choose from, Mandinga being one of the best ones. It's located on the beach right opposite the monstrosity that is the Hook cruises (mock pirate ships). Loads of locals eat here, which is a good sign. I had a very good octopus salad, and not so good (very greasy) fried plantain.

Mandinga was very busy when we visited. The whole fried fish my husband ordered was overcooked ,although he was delighted with it as it came with tortillas, sallad etc so he could make fish tacos. My stuffed mero with seafood was very average. The worst of all is the prawn cocktail served in some sweet ketchup sauce.Since the bill took ages to come... More

Mandinga has been a favorite of mine the entire 15 years I have been in Cancun. The food is always tasty. The service is excellent. Waiters are more than polite and the view toward Isla Mujeres is enchanting. The restrooms are clean, even if small. Relax and enjoy an afternoon at Mandinga!

We walked from the Ferry Landing to the Restaurant, at most a 10 minute walk, and had a great shrimp dinner. The hosts and waiters were charming, special thanks to Asidro, Evans, and Antonio! A three piece guitar group came in and added to the ambiance plus they knew my favorite songs! Food was very reasonable and delicious! My husband... More

We go as often as we can to Mandinga. It is a local restaurant with very good seafood (with a Mexican flavour). It is a simple, non pretentious place full of local people, always a good sign! Ask for the pescado frito, pulpo en su tinta and the ceviche, our favorites!

We spent 12 days in Puerto Juarez in April 2013. We visited Mandinga for dinner and enjoyed it very much. They close at 7:00 pm so be prepared for an early dinner and not much lingering. It may be best to come for lunch and then take the ferry to Isla Mujares. The food was very good and the wait... More
