I made the mistake of ordering the special- NY strip steak. It was fatty and way over-priced. Coffee was fine. Best part was that the place was air-conditioned! Probably much better if you stick with typical Mexican food, but I don't know if its worth going out of your way to find.

Just finished the almost perfect meal. Being a light eater I chose two sides as my dinner. Grilled asparagus and garlic bread. Both dishes were quite ample and extremely tasty and coupled with 2 glasses of perfect lemonade I was full. Being alone, I languished over my meal and my phone, using their wifi for close to 2 hours. The... More

After being away for a couple of years, one of my first stops when returning to Puerto Morelos was certainly John Grey's Kitchen. I stopped in for a tequila and guacamole and enjoyed a pleasant chat with Valerie, the daytime hostess. Of an evening, my wife and I enjoyed a very nice seafood dinner flowed with coffee and dessert. Pleasant... More

We loved the items offered on the menu. It was a surprise in this small restaurant. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was excellent and sophisticated.

Perhaps the only restaurant in Puerto Morelos with AC, it was a nice getaway from the July sun. Food and service were exceptional.

... because of the name on the street, but it's really Dora's restaurant! She is the one that brings the place life on a nightly basis. Sure, John is responsible for the wonderful menu, but it's Dora that creates the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy his creations. Without Dora there is no John Grays.

After having a hard time actually finding this place, we settled into the air conditioned dining room hoping the reviews were true... We weren't disappointed! I had the grilled jumbo shrimp, which was delicious, and my husband had the skirt steak... absolutely amazing! We chose to share the creme brûlée for dessert; great choice! Dora, the owner, came over to... More

You feel very welcome with Dora, she knows her stuff and her menu, which is not too big but nice and varied. French cuisine with a Mexican touch. Best cocktails in Puerto Morelos as well!
