My wife and i dropped in on a Friday night around 6pm for dinner. We asked to be seated at the back which is open air and tastefully decorated. My wife had the wrapped asparagus and it was delicious. We ordered the octopus and the...ny steak. My octopus was delicious and my wife’s ny was good. Service was excellent and they had live entertainment that was also good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant while you are in Puerto Morelos.More

We completely lucked out and got in to this place without a reservation. In fact, the group that tried the same thing after us did not fare as well. (Get a reservation!) The back court yard is simply beautiful with lovely lighting, plants, trees and...decorations. This place was super busy so service was a bit slow. BUT, this is not the type of restaurant that you want fast service. The live music featured a very talented guitar-singer playing (Uggh) American music. He really shined when someone asked him to sing in Spanish. The food was very good. Expect to pay a little more at this place but it’s worth it.More

Other than that fairly average. Service was slow. The food average and very expensive for Mexico. The band, Nobodies, fairly good playing old time R&R. Wouldn’t go again but others seem to rave about it.

This place was the best restaurant we visited in PM over about 2 weeks. The food was awesome as well as the service. We kept coming back! The live entertainment was excellent 2 of the 3 nights. Overall I'd fully recommend this place for a...nice special dinner, some wine and music.More

Have visited Tanino’s three times. Food consistently good, lovely live music and decent service. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but the atmosphere and music are so good, you don’t mind being there longer

We love this place. It's an absolute must when in Puerto Morelos. The seating is beautiful out side with gorgeous lights and palm trees swaying in the breeze. The staff is awesome and friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The filete mignon is really delicious....Also the ceasar salad is scrumptious. I also really enjoyed Hachis Parmentier is my all time favorite. Looking forward to next year. Great place to listen to live music, real great vibe.More

A small but varied choice of food which was very tasty, good portions and reasonably priced. Don't be put off by the exterior, we ate in the garden at the back and can recommend it. The only downside was they forgot our starters which didn't...seem to bother them one bit. We had 3 or 4 different servers; maybe if they allocated one server to each table they would stop this reoccurring issue.  We will definitely come back when we return to PM.More

Tanino's is a really cute restaurant on the main street in Puerto Morelos. Ask for a table in the back! You walk through a nice area in the front, but the back is a lovely terrace amongst trees! Both times we went there was live...music (as with almost every restaurant along this street!) and it was delightful. Now -- the food! the first night I had the carbonara. Oh my! Delicious! My companions got fish tacos and a shrimp dish, and both loved their dinners. The second night I was not terribly hungry and I ordered the steak salad. Well good grief! A nice salad with about 6 oz of beef tenderloin! And I ate every bite - it was SO good. That night my friends had the fresh fish selection and a steak and they both enjoyed theirs as well. It's a great place to have an absolutely lovely evening!More

Really disappointed in the service and the food. While our drinks came without too much delay, we watched the table behind us sit after us, and get their food well before us. After at least 40 minutes we ask our server about our appetizer. He...said he forgot to put the order in. Did he think WE just forgot about it? He said our mains were coming and did we still want the appetizer. Of course we didn't at that point. When the mains did come, the order of "Ribs" was a single small rib with potatoes instead of sweet potatoes as the menu stated. We sent it back at that point as it wasn't as advertised. They agreed not to charge for the incorrect meal and took 10% off the bill. That didn't really make up for the long wait and miss handling of our orders. A very disappointing evening.More

Let’s start with the positives! The staff are wonderful, attentive, professional and speak perfect English. The outdoor area is extremely attractive and the tables/chairs comfortable. There was a guitar player/singer and he was really good. Food is attractively plated and looks nice. The weak point...of this restaurant unfortunately is the food. A pear salad is generously portioned and topped with a scoop of “got cheese ice cream”, unfortunately it does not taste much of goat cheese and is very sweet. I did not enjoy. I had the filet mignon - the meat seems to be pre-injected with a tenderizer which gives it a very, very strange texture almost gelatinous. My wife described her fish tacos as “ok. For dessert we split a “Chocolate Fusion” which is chunks of mixed white and dark chocolate attractive served with a berry coulis but the chunks of chocolate are basically hard like a candy bar and without any real intense flavor. It’s strange trying to eat them with a knife and fork and they are definitely not bite sized chunks.More

Tanino's is truly a hidden gem in Puerto Morelos! Although it is located right on the main strip, it has subtle signage and the patio set back from the street - it is one of the few spaces without street dining. We "discovered" Tanino's on...our second trip to Puerto Morelos in February and immediately knew it was the perfect spot to have our parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary party in June. My parents came with us in April and is their favorite spot! Because we booked during low season, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves and Chef Damian created an extraordinary family style menu for our family of 16. We hired local photographer, Moments by Amaya Juan, to capture the day and local guitarist, Hector Romero, to play for us. Tanino's is in our regular rotation and I usually eat their weekly while in Puerto Morelos. The food is always fresh and amazing, they have live music most nights during high season, and the service is the best in town!More

I attended their anniversary party with some of my friends and we were all blown away. We sat in the garden and enjoyed live music, wonderful wine and some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had. The chef really knows what he’s doing. We’re...already planning our next visit. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

What a wonderful addition to the cuisine in PM. The seafood and pasta dishes were delicious with beautiful presentations and there were even choices for vegetarians. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very special and should not be missed.

Yes, they do take a reservation for the time you choose, but the service is unacceptably slow. Despite our reservation for 8:00 pm, we left around 10:00 because our orders were not ready yet.
