We have eaten at restaurants all over the world. We look for the small hole in the wall style restaurants that get referred to us by locals. We found just that in Al Chimichurri over four years ago. The restaurant has slowly remodeled and expanded a little over that time. But its known for its great flat bread pizzas, empanadas,... More

We love traditional Mexican food but after a week in Puerto Morelos we were ready for something different. The steaks we had at Chimichurri were awesome! Service was great too. Note that Chimichurri was slightly more expensive than other restaurants in the neighborhood, but still a great value.

It was a sweaty warm dinner There was fans but did not do anything The sweetmeats were to die for The steak was ok I am not sure but I assume they used non bottled water for the lemonade because something unsavory happened that needed to be treated with Cipro (antibiotic) Bowel issues.BAD. Stateside. Beware !

Perfectly cooked steaks and other tasty animal parts. Looks like hole in the wall but serves top quality meat dishes and good red wines. Highly recommended to visit for all carnivores.

This is another jewel in the small town of Puerto Morelos. One of the finest dinners in town, with good service and good prices. Great cuts of meat, cooked to perfection.

We ate here twice during our week long stay in PM. The empanadas and pizzas were great and the mohito was the best I had all week. Funny enough the ensalada Verde was the best thing I ate all week, not sure what was in it but I couldn't get enough! A great smoky earthy flavor with the shredded cheese.... More

Al Chimichurri was a welcome respite from corn tortillas at the tail end of our Southern Mexico road trip. The service is attentive and the food is delicious. We ended up grabbing chelada beers (beer with a frosty mug of lime juice) and ojos rojos (a take on the Canadian caesar, only made with beer instead of vodka or gin).... More

the place like mozt restaurants in Puerto Morelos is not fancy, some tables are in the street which gives a spwcial flavor to this type of restaurants. The meat they have is excellent, not only the flavor but the way they cooked is superb...we had a 2.2 pound Vacio steak, " al punto" good for four people, with special fries... More
