A friend and I arrived at this restaurant (during a rain storm of biblical proportions) requesting lunch at 2.35pm on a Monday. We had started off trying to get lunch in Perinaldo town, but nowhere was open. So, we drove 15 minutes down the mountain and hoped we would be in luck here. The lovely lady who owns the restaurant was surprised that we wanted to eat so late, but agreed to my begging request for a bowl of pasta. It turns out she was actually closed on a Monday out of season, but had not yet updated the website. However, she proceeded to serve us a wonderful, home-cooked, 3-course meal, with excellent local wine, and could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The restaurant had fantastic views of the mountains, which were spectacular even in the rain. It seems like it also had a very family-friendly set-up. At the end we were invited to feed some toast to her donkey in the garden! When it was time for us to leave, the owner also had somewhere she needed to go, but said that we could stay at the restaurant for as long as we liked until the rain passed. We will definitely come back here!

Very worm and charming place in the middle of pure nature where you can get an absolut rest from a heactic lifestyles, eating an amazing food even if you are vegetarian or a meat eater. Playing with the donkey ,(three of them), it's amazing experiance, while listening the birds and breathing pure and clean fresh air. So if you are looking to escape your heactic life for few days, this is a place to be and rejuvenate!

Arranged by our friends Carl & Yvonne - 10 of us shared a wonderful experience with the owner of this Agriturismo oasis really only a short drive from Ventimiglia/Bordighera last Saturday afternoon. This is not just a very special place to go & eat, but a fantastic place to go & stay (we didn't stay but looked at all the facilities) - totally tranquil, the lady owner invited us into her world of green hills, soaring eagles and silence before inviting us to dine almost with her. Many, many courses of traditional food and drink...........she was scared or 'afraid' I hadn't eaten enough............I couldn't move - but this was not about quantity....it was PURE quality...........make an effort...gooooooo.................

From the moment we turned into the parking spot to the moment we left it we had an unbelievably wonderful experience . The welcome we received from Cinzia and her friendly staff was so warm and friendly that we were made to feel happy and stressless! There 10 in our party and the range, size, quality and variety of the food was both exceptional and different from the normal. we were treated to a level of service which was good even by the high standards that we usually get in the area. This place is well worth a visit and we shall certainly be returning

We spent our anniversary weekend at Il Rifugio di Artemide. It was our second time staying here and Cinzia is the most awesome of hostesses. Such a warm and genuine greeting and we had Cinzia cook us the most delicious of dinners which is well worth a go if you stay here as Cinzia really puts her heart and personality into a very special and personalised meal. Enjoy the locally produced wines and take some olive oil home as well, this is also home made. We had our pet dog with us and he loved being able to run around and enjoy the quiet outdoors as well as the outdoor freshwater pool. A definite must stay here if you are looking to go to this part of Italy!

We stayed for 7 nights, and totally enjoyed our Sunflower room, with the nice view and relaxing environment. Thank you Cinzia, Skizzo, Billy, Nikita and everyone else for such pleasant stay! The food in restaurant was very very very good, Recommend to try local wine and olive oil produced right there on the spot! It was the perfect place to stay for our "honeyweek". Paldies! Arnis&Laura

I went with three couples of friends. Each couple had a child between the ages of two and nine. The place is in the middle of nature with donkey and goat. The Lady makes you sit down, in an almost too zen manner, invites you to make bread with her with various seeds, talks to you about love and sharing. Too bad he forgets to warn you that the activity he is offering you will cost you and it will also cost you dearly. In fact, at the end of the meal, let's face it, it's not much, the Zen lady shoots you at a price that's not very in line with the philosophies she rants about. Each loaf you make costs you 12 euros, each adult pays 30 euros plus 26 euros per couple for drinks. The children pay the bill based on their age, which is absurd considering that they all ate more or less the same, with a cost ranging from 15 to 20. And in the end he even has the courage to ask you for your offer for hay. Beyond everything, however, I suggest that the lady be very clear about the cost of bread from the start, so as to give customers the possibility of choosing whether to spend 12 euros to take home a loaf of bread that won't have cost her, in order of ingredients, more than 50 cents, or not. Personally, I find it highly unfair to charge you for a service that I did not request but that you offer.
