The restaurant is doing a great job of offering a safe dining experience. Inevitably we have to move inside but the Inn has very appropriate precautions with widely distanced tables. Their staff is well trained and the dining experience is very good. We are appreciative...and will enjoy a long weekend up here.More

My wife and I had dinner here recently and enjoyed the meal. We had made reservations the day before. The food was very good, maybe just short of excellent, at least for the fairly high price. The service was good overall. The dining room was...very handsome, with a nice waterfront view.More

Have had lunch several times this summer with family and friends. We have enjoyed the pork belly skewers and cauliflower gratin appetizers. Both delicious. The mussels were ok but nothing special. French onion soup had a very nice flavor. Although the lunch entrees were a...bit limited the Caprese panini was surprisingly good. Others enjoyed the Bay Harbor burger and the turkey club. Service was good and the view is phenomenal. Really enjoyed lunches here.More

Our $42 walleye dinner consisted of a middling piece of fish and six itty bitty asparagus. The white wine pour was minuscule. Seemed quite expensive for what was received.

Service was slow and server was not very attentive. Waited forever for our drink order. Had to ask for water refills. One person out of the four of us never received any water. Worst part of the experience was that we noticed a hair on...our table right when we were seated. Brought it to the server’s attention and she cleaned it up but we had to ask for the table to be sanitized. Completely unacceptable for this to occur, especially with Covid being part of our lives these days. The food was very good but for $350 for 4 people I expected a better experience. Probably wouldn’t return.More

First off, reservations are highly recommended. We got lucky because a party didn't show so we got there table. This is a very nice restaurant. This is not the restaurant for someone who is on a time crunch. Our server did a wonderful job, food...presentation was wonderful, however, flavor was lacking in a few of our dishes.More

We had a mixed experience here. First, the food is pretty good. Not great. But really solid. The Cauliflower Au Gratin was excellent and the highlight of the meal. Our entries, beef tenderloin and chicken, were good. The service is very sketchy though. We had...a reservation and requested certain tables which were empty and was told we couldn't sit there. That didn't start our evening out right. A half hour later those table were still vacant. The host that night was not very professional and seemed to not know what he was doing. We will probably never go back to this restaurant.More

Don't let the pictures fool you when selecting a restaurant. We wanted a nice fine dining experience with views of the bay and did not receive that experience at Vintage Chophouse at the Inn of Bay Harbor. We tried the mushroom appetizer that was underwhelming...served warm (not hot). The bar and the restaurant share the same small space and it was very loud hard to even hold a conversation. The meals were just ok. My husband ordered the cowboy rib eye it certainly was NOT a $55 dollar cut of meat, and it was served luke warm. This cut of meat would never be served at a high-end steak house in Chicago. View were nice, but overall not worth the $165 dollar experience. Now, if you want a great meal with a great view and experience for the same dollar amount drive 20 minutes to Walloon Lake Inn and you will be not be sorry. Read my review at Walloon lake Inn for more details.More

Food was great, staff friendly, and romantic atmosphere with fireplace. View was amazing. Good French onion soup and mash potatoes.
