Modern, contemporary, upbeat atmosphere. Friendly staff, great food, home made breads and nice wine. It was an amazing find in a small village, which could take its place amongst fine restaurants any place in the world. We stayed in East Brigford with one pub that didn't serve food some days. Consequently, we were sent to Gunthorpe which had a few... More

We made it clear to the restaurant when booking that we need Gluten free food for one of our group and they failed this simple task abysmally. My son is a Coeliac and gluten makes him seriously ill and as a result of Tom Browns not preparing his food properly he has now been off work for 3 days and... More

Hi Mark, Once again i am very sorry to hear that your son was ill. As a business we take allergies very seriously, we have procedures in place, and staff training to protect our customers. We deal with Gluten allergies on a daily basis. After investigating the event and all our allergy systems, i am 100% happy that we have... More

We enjoyed a pleasant lunch here in comfortable surroundings. The menu was quite extensive and they have a good range of fairly priced wines by the glass as well as the bottle. The goat's cheese and the scallop and asparagus starters were perfectly cooked and very flavoursome. For our main course we both chose the fish and chips which were... More

Sunday evening dinner, when the restaurant is less busy, was a most enjoyable time. The a la carte menu was varied and interesting; the food was cooked and flavoured well and the presentation was attractive. The staff were responsive without being intrusive. All in all a satisfying experience.

My friends and I visited the Resturant for a meeting/catch up with friends and it was nothing short of wonderful. Were we granted our request to sit upstairs on the stylish mezzanine away from all the other customers, which left the poor staff running up and down a flight stairs after us but this was done with a big smile... Fantastic food. Myself and my husband shared the chateaubriand and it was exceptional. So nice that it is sourced locally too! Fantastic starters, the crispy beef & the crab (gf) and a lovely marquise pudding and bubblegum cocktail! Also great service and attentive staff

Recently visited with friends after a previous thoroughly enjoyable meal. Not sure if it's changed hands or chef but our meal although very tasty and well presented was not very fulfilling. Paid £18.95 for two course early bird lunch . Waited 30 mins for starter then told goats cheese delivery not arrived?? Offered us alternative cheese starter but when it... More

Tom Browns was booked on a whim, deciding to eat locally and near the river. I wish we had chosen to go elsewhere. The reservation was for a party of four adults at 2pm. Having arrived promptly we were informed the table was just being cleared and perhaps we could order a drink in the bar area. Apparently it takes... More
