Over a week in a villa near Radda we, our group of up to eleven, wandered into La Bottega Di Giovannino many times. Monica (we believe the daughter of the grand patron and namesake himself), Giovannino, and the other people at La Bottega were so exceptionally friendly and nice that they drew us back over and over (all but Giovannino... A family run bar with a lovely atmosphere, great selections of wines and home cooked food (mainly pasta) and cold platters with tasty pickled vegetables. There is an external seating area on the street which is always full in summer. David & Monica (the brother sister owners) give great welcome.

We ate here and enjoyed the food. The owners/ family was very nice and accommodating. Might be good to book ahead, we snagged one of the last tables of the night.

Popped in on a whim and got the tasting platter for 2 and a couple of Caffè shakerato (iced coffee). Both were delicious! The platter was more food than expected, left quite full! The staff were all helpful and friendly, even trying to accommodate a group of ten without a booking (the place is smallish, so wouldn't recommend trying that... More

Little bar in the centre of town. Lots of small decorations. Had the anti pasto platter for 2, which was very fresh, tasty and filling. Iced coffee very smooth and refreshing.

After a perfect day in the Chianti area we discoverd a small and beautiful old town with great views over the Chianti valleys. In this wine bar we had a pasta and some wine. Good service and friendly people.

Small but lovely restaurant. Not a huge menu but done well. The addition of cheap table water is a good idea. Chefs surprise pasta was excellent. Good cheap local Chianti as well x

A warm welcome from Monica and family. This little restaurant is not trying to be posh, it was just what we were looking for. Friendly, warm, authentic. Individual attention from Monica, her family and staff. Excellent local food and wine. Just one table out on a small terrace. We came away having eaten well and smiling at the lovely service... My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. It was a bit rainy and we were seeking some comfort food before continuing our Tuscan sightseeing. We had a lovely antipasto with fresh breads and then our first experience with Ribollita, a traditional Tuscan bread and vegetable soup. It was fantastic and while we had it another time later in... We sought to eat here the. Previous night, but it was booked out, a promising sign. We returned the next night, early as it was surprisingly cold and threatening rain. They were obviously used to dealing with tourists, and I was a little sceptical about the quality of the food that may result, despite many locals popping in for a... More
